Cutting Cycle

I'm currently in my cutting cycle - I'm taking Mega Ripped (by Weider) on my 4th bottle by now. I take 3 caps during my workout days - usually 5 days a week. I noticed that my upper body muscles have shrunked. Is there anything that I could do to gain my lost muscles i.e. in terms of adding more carb into my diet?

well you could be carb depleted and flat, but considering youve been dieting long enough to have gone through 3 bottles of a diet supp, im going to suggest that you just chalk it up to lost muscle. Youre not going to gain any muscle back while youre dieting to lose fat.

You mentioned ading carbs into your diet. You can carb deplete, then carb load after a workout, but that is just your muscles storing glycogen...which isnt bad, but its not new muscle. Carb loading is a pretty solid way to cut bodyfat and gain/maintain strength though.
 
Like Suareezay said, you are either carb depleted and "flat", or you have lost muscle due to bad dieting.

I don't know what your workouts and diet are like, but I would lean more towards muscle loss.
To really answer your question we need more info.
 
I guess I have done my cutting the wrong way. My weight before I started my cutting cycle was 202 lbs; I stand at 5'8"; current weight is 189 lbs; not sure what is my body fat % though; 29 years old.

After browsing through some articles over the Internet today, I guess both of you were right in saying that I'm carb depleted. Could you advise what would be the ideal weight before I start cutting? I take protein shake early in the morning, before and during workout and in the evening. I consume meat such as dory fish fillet, tuna, chicken breast and lean beef meat. I mix my protein shake with low fat yogurt drink as the current flavour (Vanilla by ON) is so hard to swallow :Puke: I do eat brocoli, potato, and I mix my breakfast oatmeal with 1 banana & raisins. I ate 10 egg whites daily (5 each for breakfast and dinner). I took Anabol + Arginine/Ornithine, Carnitine, ZMA, Tribulus/Terestris, BCAA when I was bulking and now I only take Glutamine, Creatine, Glucosamine (my joints were aching like hell recently) on top of Mega Ripped - on my training days. I cheat like once every 2 weeks but most of time I eat clean.

:bash: me if you guys want to - I don't mind. My knowledge is really shallow so please help. BTW, do you think it is wise for me to stop my cutting cycle and start bulking up again? I can't help feeling sorry to my chest :( Would really appreciate if you could tell if there's any good supplements that I could take for bulking and cutting - keeping it for record as I can't afford to make the same mistake in the future....
