Cutting

Why do people switch up their routine when its time to cut?? if a cutting phase is nothing more than "burning" fat then why switch your lifts at all.. instead you could save the routine for your next bulk cycle to exit your plateau with... alot of things ive been told seem to contradict each other, like doing workouts to "tone or shape" muscle.. how can you change the shape of your genetically given muscle? YOU CANT.. or even better how can you sucessfully make gains in "shape change" if your eating to cut fat..

I guess what im saying is that since ive started cutting on these new lifts i feel like i should save them for when im eating a decent amount of carbs and fats.. i really feel the exercises and wish id be doing this while bulking. what you think??

I agree w/ you 100%. I've never understood this either. When I'm trying to lose, I don't change any of my lifting. As soon as you start doing lighter weights to "tone" or even the unbelieveably stupid "spot reduce" crap, you're gonna lose muscle. A lot of people don't seem to realize that lifting heavy, low rep weights to failure is going to burn just as many calories as anything.

IMO, the only thing about one's training they should change while dieting is increased cardio, or maybe a few supersets. But hey, that's just me. To each his own.
