I can handle 50 more lbs on the decline bench and it feels more comfortable than the flat bench. Is the decline press an inferrior chest movement (mass builder) compared to the flat bench?

The extra weight you are able to handle is likely due to the shorter range of motion, depending on where you lower the bar to.

It is inferior to flat due to the limited ROM and also its inefficient tasking of the entire pec. The extra weight does help though so it is still a good exercise. Alot of times for chest I like doing flat/incline/decline each for 4-5 sets and that be my chest workout. That way I know I got the entire pec.

The range is def shorter. But do you think with the xtra weight (300lbs compared to 250lbs) it will be better overall mass movement or is the bench still king (due to ROM, angle...)?

I like them all and do them all but flat bench is king. And breaking it down more I like dumbbells more. As far as mass I always loved flyes with crossovers a close 2nd.

I like decline once in a while for a change of pace and also to get my body used to moving a heavier load than normal.

I agree....i have a friend that due to injury can only do decline. His numbers are great and hes solid. Overalkl chest has grown signifigantly.

Making me re-think Incline.

Alot of peops dont grow b/c they dont workout their weaknesses. I will keep the flat bench as my core chest movement and incline/decline on the side

decline i think feals more like doing dips to me, just seems to be better lifts to do, but if got the time and enegery to go with doing all three then go for it. I stick to flat and incline. I suggest going with decline fly so you can get the range of motion.
