DHEA Test... Standard vs. Sulfate

I just realized that on my last labs, the Doctor ordered the standard DHEA test, instead of the DHEA-S sulfate test:
DHEA, Serum = 153 (31-701).

Is the standard test useful for anything?

Very good question. I got my Dhea-s tested and it was in the 80's, bottom of the range. I really don't know. there isnt much info out on the internet about it. From what i have seen, it could be a sign of adrenal fatigue. I was using yohimbine and caffeine for a long time, and used EC stack for months on end a couple of years back. Idk if that's related.

Im pretty sure (not 100%) that the standard dhea test tests for dhea and dhea-s. After all s is the active steroidal component.

Doc checked my thyroid. Idk why he threw Dhea-s into. Probably to check the adrenals. Idk, it only showed Dhea-s. Never even mentioned my level, but this is an "endo". Never went back :)
