I spoke with Lyle McDonald and he reccomended
"I think a 7-10 (up to 14) day diet break would be an excellent idea. Take carbs to at least 150 g/day and calories to estimated maintenance - about 10% (to adjust for diet related metabolic slowdown). YOu shouldn't gain much, if any, fat and your next diet phase should be more effective"

True my fat should definatley be higher, and according to Lyle McDonald below 100g Carbs ED will keep an active person in a near Keto state.

Its already started yesterday. I will be taking 2 weeks off of dieting and just use 10% below BMR with a 40/30/30 diet and then hop back on it again to try and drop those last 7-10lbs.

HAHA Yeah im 6' 200 right now and I really would like to drop to 190-195. I like how I look at 200 but I tend to hold most my weight in my pecs and stomach so I would like to get a visibal 6 pack and I think 190 will be the right weight.

i guess 190 is still pretty heavy..by the looks of your avatar your physique looks quite lean..you cant be carrying that much fat on your abs? shit i wt 215+ at 5'8 and have no visible abs..lol however if i went down to 190 i think i would still look BIG..whch is my aim right now..

I also agree. Not that it matters, but still...

Popi...how did you feel on the diet? Did you maintain energy and strength? I have Lyles book but man did it seem overcomplicated. I need to sit down and read it again.

Actually I felt pretty good though I do suffer from intense carb cravings when low carbing, but it only takes a nibble to get rid of them. My energy was actually better on low carb than it usually is on 40/30/30 diet. I know thats strange but thats how I feel, I have no problem doing cardio ED while low carbing but on a regular diet I just drag I think I just react very badly to carbs.

i am noticing this as well...i seem to be just as energetic if not more so since i have started than when i was eating more carbs...(side note: i dont seem to have as much stinky gas either), i give myself 2 days too really carb up nice and good..other wise its pretty much just greens and veggies and some oatmeal/honey and WM on work out days...

Popi and Adida...when I did a lo-carb diet I experienced what you did. My energy was good and sometimes I would look at my watch and realized I missed a meal because I wasn't feeling hunger pains. I assume this is because of a steady blood sugar level. I didn't do the CKD but more of a total Atkins and then every 4 weeks or so I would stall on the weight loss and say fuck it and have a cheat weekend. I would start losing weight again. I was doing this before I read about the CKD diet. Time to look into it again.
