Hey,

I just got my bloods done to know where I am at...everything checked by my doc was in normal range including lipids and all ..except my test range fell at 271 ng/dl ?

Component Standard Range Your Value
TESTOSTERONE 189.00 - 726.00 ng/dl 271.00

My doctor is trying to tell me this is normal range? But for 28 y/o? You guys are talking about 400's over here lol ...isnt 271 bad? then why the hell is he saying normal!

Why is the range so low starting at 189.00-726 what is range for people that start trt?

Just trying to gauge what low and high is? Because I'm tired, have lack of sex drive(no completely gone) ( still can maintain E) and so forth..?

Any input !>!?

What time of day was the blood drawn? That can make a pretty big difference.

If it was first thing in the morning after a good night's sleep, then your Total Testosterone is low. Below 300ng/dl is considered hypogonadal. You need to so followup blood work. Check TT again, along with LH, FSH, Estradiol, Prolactin, Vitamin D, TSH and Lipids. If you have already gotten any of these, please post the results.

Again. go first thing in the morning.

In the meantime, read the Basic TRT Overview sticky thread for more info on hypogonadism.

So you have a few things going on. As I said earlier, you need to follow up with more labs.

Your vitamin D is low. This can affect your testosterone levels believe it or not. I would recommend supplementing vitamin D3 between 5000-10000 iu daily.

You cholesterol is low as well. Again, cholesterol levels can affect your testosterone as well. I would talk to your doctor about this. See if there is anything you can do to get your LDL in the normal range. Your HDL looks great by the way.

For the hypogonadism, you need to follow up with the total testosterone, FSH, LH, Estradiol and Prolactin. And unless you have a lot of history tracking your lipids showing they are always like this, I would run that again to confirm the results.

Depending on the outcome of the results, we can recommend different options for treating your hypogonadism.

Oh... and try to get in for blood work by 8:00 AM next time.

Do you have sleep apnea by any chance?

Thyroid looks good.

I am going to message my doctor and tell him I am concerned about the test levels. My multi vitamin I take now has 1500 IU of vitamin D in it.....now d3 is different than D? When should I get more blood done? I have never had too much tracking of my blood profiles... I did do a PH cycle last summer..but never had my bloods checked I used proper protocol and never abused anything. So I am wondering if I had this before I even tried a cycle and it possibly was made worst? I literally have not had a real true sex drive for a while though.. even before trying ph ... I get 8 hours of sleep every day. Dont drink much... I workout 5 days a week and love working out , but seems hard for me to gain muscle . Should I ask him to refer me to a endo?

1500iu of Vitamin D is not enough. As you can see, it is barely getting you into the normal range.

Did you PCT after your PH usage? What did you run for PCT if yes?

Unfortunately we will now never know if you always had low T or if your PH usage caused it. That ship has sailed.

Given your PH usage, I would recommend trying an HPTA restart if your followup blood work points to Secondary Hypogonadism. You will have to talk to your doc to see how knowledgeable he is about doing this. You could try an endo, but a lot of them specialize in diabetes and women. A group like IMT, who posted early, may be your best bet in trying a Restart. I would want to try everything I could to avoid going on TRT for the rest of my life. TRT is great if you need it, but it is better to not need it.

Okay, I will be picking up some Vitamin D3 to boost up my count. As for the PCT , it consisted of CLOMID, DAA , TEST INFUSION, AND TRIBULUS. Its weird, I actually felt normal on cycle and really did not experience a crash or anything like most people do. I thought the pct went well . I have a feeling that somehow , I may have had this preexisting. I have felt the same way regardless before or after cycle..

lack of motivation, low libido etc...

My doctor is a internal medicine doctor, so I am not sure what his expertise is regarding low t. His only response to the blood results was the vitamin D, and said everything else looked good (even the cholesterol) (in the notes). One thing was when I went to the appointment they said my blood pressure was a little high ( i read that is a sign of low T ) ? It was normal before the last time I went there...I looked into that IMT page, that seems like it consists of HCG? I have read some mixed reviews on HCG, some guys swear by it others say it can damage the cells?

Kinda sucks , I have 0 deductible coverage for health insurance which covers everything but everything has to be referred through him because i have a HMO.

I really just want to figure this out and feel motivation in my life...

Alright, I check it out. Theres actually a Low T center down the street from me...I guess they can run all the bloods for $25.00 for being a lifetime fitness member, then they provide a treatment plan.. thing is my insurance won't cover it unless I get referred lol... if worst comes to worst, i can go in for the 25.... What should I exactly be retested for?

I had two lowers out , about 8 years ago . All the sudden, one more just came out on top of my mouth ( facing sideways). I chose local anesthesia , Ive been putting of off for two years now. Running on borrowed time lol
