I hear ya man, but the american gal that was 23 that disappeared in Leredo was an everyday avg. gal that was goin down w/ a friend to have a good time. The article in the Picayune made it sound like avg. Americans.

Must admit this big old honky has never had a problem here in Mexico. Once the dirt settled on my boots, I was stuck here and loving it.

a couple of months ago, the US govt. put out a warning to Americans traveling to Mexico b/c of the spike in missing persons lately. They blame drug lords, cartels, white slavery, etc.

There is some truth to it. However, its mostly young Hispanic-American females traveling back and forth that are disappearing.

Cross the border now and you'll see nothing but missing person posters with young women's photos. They're probably buried in some mass grave on one of the local ranches.....

I know...it sucks. We had a BLAST EVERY time. Went in to boys town and everything! Tipped security late at nioght in the cluibs and didnt have a worry in the world.

This has been going on for months now, the primary captures are of spanish/mexicain ethnicity. Most Americains are not at risk. I just got back from TJ a week ago. I also plan on going back for spring break. I doubt we have anything to worry about.

I'll watch the "A.M.W" and post my thoughts after the program.

Put yourself in a kidnapper's spot. If your aim was monetary gain, would you abduct a resident of the same poor, dirty country you live in who is probably armed because of the lax gun laws and violent area, or someone who probably isn't armed, is less familiar with the area, and obviously has disposable income?

Stang, he's talking about Hispanic Americans. They also have, some, disposable income like you mentioned. Believe it or not, we stand out in Mexico. They're mostly, personally I believe, abducting females.
