Do you think one of them is using gear pt. 2

I tried!! I thought I would be able to press at least the equivalent of what I can DB press, but I'm like 20 lbs under that. Didn't even get 120 x 5 today. Did 125 x 4, 120 x 4, 120 x 2. I felt like a bitch lol.

Gotta check that ego man, the BB OHP is a hard lift.
If you have a strong OHP, you're just a strong person in general.
Saw one kid over at bb.com push press 405 for a couple reps.

No sad faces. Seated presses are a joke compared to the standing version. Love them and embrace them :D

Only sad cause I missed. I don't like failing. I tried for that 5th rep so goddamn hard on my first set, I thought I was gonna have an aneurysm. Struggled with deads @ 325 too though, so I'm chalking it up to low energy.

I was only adding 10 lbs from last time on my first set. Like I said, I got 115 easily so I thought 125 would at least be doable... apparently not though.

I started with 115 and got 3x5 pretty damn easily.

How many workouts have you done with presses so far? You just started this week I thought so you shouldn't be stalling for a few weeks minimum I'd say. Even if you got 115 easy, if you stall this soon you're not building momentum and workload tolerance if you're stalking so soon. I'd drop the weight some and def look into getting microplates so you can progress in less than 5lb increments

Magnets work well for micro-loading.

Yea press is not the lift you want to be making 10lb jumps. It's the slowest progressing lift, slower than even power cleans for most people.

This was the second. Though last time was not first thing in the morning with only a PWO in my stomach. I'm also on a little bit tighter schedule in the mornings. I probably could've taken more rest between sets. Still learning ;)
