Yea, thanks for that little recommendation and review you had on it. I went online after reading your experiences and researched it more. Went with the 13mm lever lock and couldn't be happier.
Squats was the first lid I tried it on and yes it does come into contact with my quads. The first few sets were annoying as hell but I've gotten used to it somewhat and use it as a depth indicator, kind of like proprioceptive feedback. Without it I go till my ass basically touches the back of my calves which is not optimal so it's helping in its own fucked up way lol.
That intra-abdominal pressure seriously helps. I had gotten a PR on press with 3x5 the week before I got the belt but BARELY. Last rep barely made it up. Following week use the belt for press and added 5lbs to the 3x5 max and hit new PR. Love my belt hahaha
