Do you think one of them is using gear pt. 2

I do and with a mechanic for a father I got to work on a lot of them too :D. One of my buddies has a grand national, sequential tranny, 940+whp, roll cage, parachute, side pipes, built block, turbo with an external waste age dumping to the atmosphere, intercooled, and ET drag slicks!

Obviously not street legal lol.
My buddy owns a fox body mustang, full tube chassis, built engine, spooled rear, powerglide tranny/w supercase, parachute and MT slicks out back. He runs 8's with it.

Another guy that I work with has a door slammer full body Chevelle running 7's without forced induction.
Pretty nuts what you can do with a piece of metal.

My car started the 1/4 mile back in 2008 and hasn't finished it yet.
I'm running 5! years......

No not street legal but that doesn't stop him from some fun. He's friends with a trooper in town so he gets away with it bc the trooper is a gear head too!

Man those sound like some sick sick cars. Makes me want to go to the bathroom and fap while dreaming about running my hands on the body lmao

The longer the project car takes the sweeter it is when done. One of my dad's friends has been rebuilding an old Chrysler for 20+ years now. Everything done he is doing himself from machining the heads, welding, bending, fabrication, etc!

Drop an. LT1 in there! Know someone that needed wheelie bars in a bug with a naturally aspirated LT1 motor

I used to work on some cars for this rich mofo around me. He rented out a hangar at the airport to store his cars. He'd buy C16 race gas in 55gallon drums...20drums at a clip

That's exactly where I'm at with my car too.
I spent so much time making sure that body was laser straight that I'll be afraid to drive it when it's done!

The way I look at it is my car is a life-long project. I like to tinker and what better to tinker with than a car?

I wouldn't mind tinkering with anything. Cars, airplanes, 2cycle motors, street bikes, diesels, etc.

A stock LT1? :D

I wonder why they bothered going back to the LT1 designation for 2014?

I was always under the impression that the LS series was more desirable due to the amount of aluminum in them.
Then I read the LT1 is coming back.
You'd think that would be rather confusing considering one is iron and the other all aluminum....

The LT-1 was a late 60s-70s motor they are bringing it back like ford did with the 5.0 it's just a history thing

I agree^^^ they're going with this whole 'modern retro' thing. Sometimes it works out nice others not so much. They're not going to use the original LT1 that's for sure. There'll be some nice upgrades lol. My all time favorite car though is still a Nissan Skyline GTR Z-tune!

Is it just me or did the new Camaro and Challenger explode onto the scene then fade into obscurity pretty damned quickly?

From what I remember reading, neither one really excelled at anything in particular.

I didn't like those me renditions of the classics at all

Both of them had that big bubble car body styling going on.
Both of them just kinda blended in with the rest of the garbage on the road.
Plus, the sheer size of them was pretty daunting. The Camaro was never supposed to be as big as they made it.
Too bad, all the potential in the world.
