Do you think one of them is using gear pt. 2

Hmm, still can't picture that. Even if your knees are locked, your range of motion only goes up, which keeps them in front of your heels. Unless you're traveling backwards, which I can't see being healthy for those spinal erectors. Or am I looking at this wrong?

You're looking at it backwards from the pull. Stand up, lock your knees, stick your ass out and bend down from the waist. The natural movement kinda pushes your lower section back. The top of the movement you're in line, but at the bottom of the movement your hips and knees would be "behind" your ankles.

Exactly.
It keeps the tension on your hams/glutes instead of your low back.
No matter where in the bars path you are, the weight will always be "balanced" over your heels.
It's a hinge movement.

Hmm, I'm going to have to watch some youtube videos later so I can see this without trying to picture it in my head. I can see the hips/trochanter moving behind the ankles/heels, but I just can't visualize knee movement going that far back. Meh, must be because I'm all bent out of shape over this upcoming math exam tonight.

Anyhoo, back to studying! I'll definitely watch a video or two later to see what I can't picture in my little pea-brain. :)

Similar to this, just with knees "soft locked".

YMMV

Hot damn, I think I stared at that image for 10 minutes! Okaaay, I see now. I guess I just can't picture that myself as I look down and still see my toes in standard "sumo" position. I honestly don't know if I push my rear out that far, as I don't do stiff-legged deads - but I can see how it would put some really good emphasis on that lumbar area. I do know I'd be sure to get in some damn good stretches before I would attempt an extension that far though. :)

Damn, I just want to put my nose up in that! OH, before I bail (for real this time) - found out that we have a former Playmate at my gym LOL. I had no idea, I just saw some hot babe working out with a friend, and made a comment to one of the employees. Turns out she was a playmate a couple years ago! He said her name, but I don't remember it. :( Definitely going to put up a pic once I find out for sure tomorrow. ;)

Shouldn't the weight be in line over mid foot? That's what squats and deads are supposed to be like but haven't read much into RDL's to know if it's an anatomically different movement.

You're obligated to post creeper angle phone pics or we can't in good conscience let you back into this thread.

Basically yes.
Your hips behind your feet sort of "equals out" the weight hanging from the other end so that you feel it over mid-foot same as conventional.

imo, they're too similar.
I don't have the hamstring flexibility to do true SLDL so I do a bit of a hybrid.
Actually, I do SUMO rdl's to help build my SUMO DL :D

LOL I know that feel. It takes me a few minutes to be able to even bend down and touch my toes without bending my knees. That's why I choose to do RDLs. I say this all the time, but I really need to work on my flexibility / mobility.

I think the issue yesterday could've been that I went for max reps on my top set. Maybe my form started slipping a bit.

F**king ink won't dissolve to save it's life.
MEK won't even reconstitute it once it's dried, grr..

I just want to make crayons, why is that so difficult?

I wouldn't think it's that hard to make crayons.

Maybe it's just me.

Naw, it's the materials I'm working with that are limiting me.
The pigment I'm using was never designed to be use this way, in addition to the pigment itself there are a bunch of other binders, dispersion agents, etc in there.
