For many reasons:
I HATE bars
I HATE being around people (debilitating social anxiety)
I HATE being the "third wheel" at a table of like-minded people
I HATE waiting over an hour just to get a table at said bar
I HATE paying $6 for a beer
I HATE the fact that I have to drive 30 minutes home
Most of all, I HATE that I have to cut my workout short to do this!
Honestly, there is nothing that has me looking forward to this trip.
I'm buying a house in a couple weeks, I can't afford to get drunk.

That's exactly what happened to me. Sore throat for 2-3 days, then I woke up feeling like straight shit. No sore throat after that but like a sinus thing going on. Luckily it didn't work its way down. Usually if I get that post nasal drip goin, shit get's bad lol. I didn't even miss a gym day, just took half a day off from work and slept.

Oh god. I went to a strip club in SF one time, the ONLY time I've ever been... it was 18+ and 3 of us got in for a total of $10, I don't think I need to say more. I'd go to one again, but it would have to be something more classy like Centerfolds. I hear Denver has some amazing clubs too.

This one is actually pretty nice most of the time. It has a rustic pub sort of feel to it, certainly not a dive by any means.
They're just insanely fucking busy every day and rather pricey. I wasn't kidding when I said that a 1 hour wait is to be expected. That might not seem like a big deal to you city folk, but this is literally the only bar in town that has a line out the door and around the corner.
Most of my apprehension is just because I don't like feeling like the "third wheel" and people in that close proximity makes me have an anxiety attack.

Sounds like a cool place. I actually prefer the dive bars in town. Better prices, and you don't have to deal with the wannabe stuck up cunts. It's one thing to be stuck up if you're rich or something, but I don't live in a "rich" city. It's more so the fact I have a general distaste for this city on top of my slight misanthropic views.
Fuck that man! I wouldn't be waiting an hour to get into a damn bar unless it's free drinks and I'm gettin my dick sucked all night. If there's a wait at any bar, I bounce. We also have probably 30 bars in town though.
