Doctor is prescribing Clomid

Hey guys,

Long story short I went to see an endocrinologist because my total testosterone levels were coming up around 200's + low LH and FSH. I never admitted use to the doctor but I have done several cycles over the last 5 years, with the last one being 7 months ago.I am 29 and I want to stop cycling for a while and get my normal levels back naturally.
After a pituitary mri came back negative I was prescribed 50mg of clomid eod for 3 months. Does this sound like the right thing to do, or should I ask for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG)? i used nolva and clomid last time for my post cycle which apparently didn't work too well. Is 3 months of clomid now going to do anything?

I read a post of a guy thast did two months of clomid and near the end started gaining weight again because of his test levels. HCG wouldnt hurt im sure but the clomid will probably do the job

Clomid can have very good results and restarting the HPTA system. Assisting the cycle with HCG isnt a bad thing either :)

I'm curious to see if people think a full recovery can be made with just clomid alone? Or do I need to be asking my doc for some HCG even though I'm 6 months post cycle

if your going to combine anything it would be clomid and novla, running clomid and hcg is counter productive.

Your system hasnt started creating its own LH, that being said

HCG mimics LH in your body, causing your testies to produce, but only based on the "fake" LH they are being signaled with, and they dont really produce, they will fill up, but its not the same. remember anything fake in your body and it shuts down natural production of that fake substance.

Clomid works to get your body to start creating its own LH again. If your running HCG Clomid wont work because your body will sense the Fake LH and not want to make its own still.

Did you run HCG the first time with your clomid? this could be why your PCT was unsuccessful...

good luck bro

Thanks for the advice. I agree with what you're saying but there's always conflicting information when it comes to HCG. My LH levels came in at about 2 which is pretty low, it seems like I should just stick with Clomid only to try and raise that up? Any more opinions are welcomed
