Does HGH Make you grow?

My son just finished taking HGH ( Genotropin/Pfizer) due to a GH deficiency. He was on it for 3 years, we are now done because his growth plates just closed. He grew 9"". GH cannot make you taller that you are genetically predestined to be- but it can get you to where you should have been.

If youre young enough and your growth plates haven't fused then the short answer is yes.
If your over 17 it's not gonna get u in the NBA. And if youre young enough you probably don't have the money. Catch 22!
Can you tell us the doseage and frequency your son was on?
Son was on daily injections- started at 1.8mg at the beginning and gradually increased to 3.0 mg which is where we ended. The Dr's office would increase dosage based on weight gain, IGF levels, etc.
He started at 90 lbs and now is in the 140's. He had a benign tumor on his pituitary gland which was preventing him from making HGH. Still no basketball player at just under 5'7" but better than the predictions of 5'1 w/o the meds.
