Donated Blood Today

There was a blood drive my building today.. Perfect! Because I was being lazy about getting it done.. Anyways she pricked my finger to check for hematcrit ?? She got the result said "47" and said it's good? Any thoughts on this? My first blood donation in 8 months.. I thought it would have been high?

47 is definitely fine. Anything below 50 is ok. Not bad that you gave blood though. I have been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for about 4 months now and have a 48, so I really think it can depend on the person as well as external factors like diet and exercise. Not sure though, maybe someone else can chime and give a better answer.

Got mine checked today and it's 49 dr said it's fine. Mine is high normal.

Big relief! I have been procrastinating on this for a long time! I feel a little more perky today.. Probably placebo effect, but I'll enjoy this feeling anyways
