Drinking alot of water good to lose weight?

I read in this thread that its good to drink alot of water to lose weight, like about 1 gal of water is the range of 1 day.
But i read in another article on the internet that losing water mass is constantly being mistaken as fat loss. When i excersise, i like to jog, use bicicyle,then i lift wieghts.
What i want to know is, is jogging and bicicling a waste of my time if i want to lose weight? and how can i make sure i losing fat in my excersises?

I appreciate ANYONE that can help.
 
"jogging and bicicling" is not a waste of time if you want to lose weight. it is actually important. but the key here is diet, everyone will tell you and im just starting to believe it myself.

id say do your cardio after u lift weights, and yes keep up ur water intake. water is a natural directic so if you are consuming lots it will prevent ur body from holding it for periods of a time ..
