Early A.M. training?

I work 9-9 most days during the week, so most of my workouts have to be in the morning about 6am. I get up around 5, and almost never have time to eat first. I hear that some workouts are best on an empty stomach. Is this just cardio, or can it be done with weight training also?

I guess I have 2 questions...

1. Is 1 hour enough time for my body to adapt to being up and getting into the weight room?

2. Should I eat before and if so, what would be easy/quick and at what time should I take my last bite?

I appreciate the help!

What do you suggest is best to eat and how long do I need to let it "settle" before getting in the gym?

protein shakes bro. Right after waking up, protein shake. By the time you wake up your body is so hungry from the 8 or however many hours of sleep it starts to eat away at your muscles becuase it has nothing else to feed on. A shake is quick and easy, though I have recently discovered by 3j that you don't receive all the nutrients that the nutritional facts stated, but still.
