Experience with a cycle on 3rd shift

Anyone have experience with third shift? I'm in week3 of a test only cycle. It's my first ever. I was on day shift and was told that I would be for quite a while. But last week I was told that starting this week I would be on thirds. Last night was my first night back and it sucked. Just wondering if there are any special considerations to think about for a third shift worker. Or if anyone has any advice or tips. I can stay up all night no problem, it's the relearning how to sleep during the day that sucks.

Not really answering you primary question, but melatonin will help you shift your sleeping patterns. Take 1-2mg about 3 hours before you want to go to sleep. If you can't take it in advance, take about 5mg right before you want to go to sleep. Should kick in within 30 minutes.

I prefer the sublingual melt-away tabs -- especially if taken right before bedtime.

SR melatonin works for me. But I need 15 to 20mg. Less is better if possible of course!

I have trouble making myself go to sleep. Once I get to sleep I'm usually fine unless my kids wake me up. They are a little older now though so they are better at sleeping through the night. :-)

Me too. Obsessive late coffee drinker here. Magnesium Citrate, 400mg an hour before bed will boost any sleep aid you take. Helps me a lot, great muscle relaxer.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I just got some melatonin today, so I will be giving that a shot when I go to bed today. I was so tired when I left work I was falling asleep driving home but by the time I ate and showered and laid down, I was tired. But could not turn my brain off. Got about 4 hrs, and Taft ain't gonna cut it.

I have work and school. Mon-Friday I'm up at 6am and bed time is 2am. Your body will adjust over time. I only get 3-4 hours of sleep. I find thc to be a huge help when going to sleep.

And on a personal note.. Rubbing one out helps too lol

The best way to do it would be to not go to bed after work. Think about it for a second, when you work a regular shift or regular job you wake up in the morning have breakfast and go to work, when you get off work you have supper then do what you got to do before going to bed and repeat. Turn that around into a night shift, when you get home you should be having your supper and staying awake until there is about 8 hours before your next shift then go to bed at that time. This would be the ideal but if your on shift work you probably don't have the time to adjust your body to this before you get a different shift but your body will adapt quickly if you keep the pattern consistent.. I have been working a night shift for the last few years and I love it, empty gym during the day and time to get shit done while everything is open..

That would work pretty well I'm sure. The thing is I have a wife and kid at home so it's better for family time if I sleep when my daughter is at school and wife is at work. If I did stayed up all day and went to bed at 2:00 I would never have any time with them. So it kind of has to be this way.

THC was a great help, until my employer initiated random on sight drug tests. They tap your shoulder and escort you to medical. No way to use a masking or cleansing thing because they don't leave your side. Can't use synthetic cuz some one just recently tried and got busted.

ZMA and melatonin for this vampire. i've worked overnight, 12-14hr shits, for the last 3.5yrs and while it's tough it's not insurmountable. i try to keep my workouts in the am like kazmir suggests, just eat breakfast before work and dinner before bed.

One thing I'm wondering about is how is this sudden drastic change to my sleep pattern and quantity/quality of sleep going to effect my cycle. On week 3 of 500 mg test e, so from what I read week 4 should be the week where test levels start to stabilize and I start seeing gains. Will this change of shift/sleep effect thAt?

Ok thanks. Officially done worrying. One good thing about thirds is I'm good at eating every 2 hrs on break. Already had two huge turkey sandwiches on 12 grain bread and like half a rotisserie chicken.
