Face Pull question

after reading a bunch of logs, I decided to throw in face pulls into tonights back routine.

Here's my questions:

1. should I be leaning back slightly or try to stand more erect?

2. I really felt it in my lower trap area and rear delts, is this where i'm supposed to feel it?

3. should I be doing higher reps w/ lighter weight, or doing lower reps (5-8) with a heavier weight, or does it matter?

tonight was my first night trying face pulls, so I ended up doing 4 sets of 10 concentrating on correct form

Thanks

1) Try and stay erect. You can lean back a little but keep the tension on your rear delts.

2) Yes

3) Higher reps, it's really all about form here. If you use heavier weight you'll be more than likely to compromise form and then you'll be taking the rear delts out of it.

there are several ways to do them. seated, standing, leaning, upright, wide grip, narrow grip, etc......

Overhand, underhand, low cable, high cable...

i prefer to do them seated. i keep my torso vertical and think about pushing my chest toward the rope as i pull the rope toward my neck. i usually do a few sets of 15 at the end of my back workout. i feel it mostly in my rhomboids and middle traps.
