Fast Food + Workout = Superworkout?

I try not to eat a lot often but every so often I'll swing by McD's and grab 2 dbl cheeseburgers or some meal at a fast food place on my way to the gym. For some reason everytime I eat fast food beforehand my workouts in the gym are much much better than regular. Anyone else ever have this?
 
youre not the only one it happens to. Ive never experienced it because im pretty anal about diet, but ive heard of it happening to a lot of others

most likely a combination of all the carbs, calories, sodium.
 
I was talking to one of the BIG guys at my gym. I mean big as in he'll probly have his pro card within a year. Anyway he was telling me he pounds jumbo jacks before or sometimes after his workout. He said a guy my size is going to use so much energy during a workout the fast food won't make you gain weight. Obviously this is only true to a point and it's going to depend a lot on what the rest of your diet looks like but it was still interesting to hear a real bb'er talk like this, as I usually think about them being EXTREMELY anal about their diets.

I might have to start trying this in moderation because honestly I lift a lot better when I eat that stuff b4.

So would you say I'm lacking something in my diet or just that spike in fat and other stuff in shit food just helps that much better for a short energy increase?
 
I eat fast food preworkout all the time; I find it makes a difference.



Today I ate 20 chicken mcnuggets beforehand.
 
interesting...Cutler is known to drink Cokes after a workout, but that's a little different. I think the really big guys don't have a problem w/ this when they are bulking. I honestly think people are way to anal about their diet, when it comes to bulking...just fuckin eat man! Cutting is a totally different story.
 
when I was drinking sodas back then..was a heavy drinker, I find myself heavy and bloated and almost useless...

sodas/soft drinks tends to fill my up..making me skipping meals..

i agree...for the most part.

I think fast food is better than pizza...bc my off meal was yesterday and i had pizza. That was NOT good... I normally dont have an off meal just before a lift, i guess yesterday was proof as to why i dont. But yeah, mcdonals or BK is better to take in than pizza from my personal experience.
 
Ya I never tried fast food before. Maybe I'll try, but definately make a diference if I eat before hand rather than a shake.
 
Fuck that man Im bulking an in order to hit the 5000cal mark i got to always stop by BK and order me 3 wopper jr no mayo an onions :) 50g of protein right there and 1100 calories only for 3$ bucks
 
when i'm bulking i eat fast food some. Usually not right before a workout though. Did once and got some bad gas from it when i was lifting :P I try to limit my fast food when i'm cutting. Either that or up the cardio but i'd rather just eat really clean. I'm trying to do both right now and am ready to start bulking already!!
 
yesterday for lunch, I had to try BK since I haven't eaten there in years. 3 jr whop, 1tex burg, 1 angus steak burg, med fry, and drink. texas burger might be my new fav. I still like MC D's cuz I like the dble cheese burger for a $1,

Carbs! Like the diet is supposed to be 60% carbs, 20% protein, 20% fat. That's alot of energy. Unless you're worried about getting fat, then take in more protein.
