First cycle and diet

I am 45, 6'3, and 196 pounds and roughly 20% body fat. I have previously been diagnosed with low T levels and doctor put me on Androgel, which is a complete waste of time and money. As a result I am having trouble cutting fat and building muscle. In march I weighed 226 with roughly 50% body fat. The only way that I have been able to drop weight and body fat was to go on the nutrisystem diet. I continue to workout and add additional protein and suppliments to my diet but I am looking to try my first cycle. I have read the newbie articles and the diet articles over and over again but I am really confused as to what I should do.

I am looking at a test e cycle followed by nolvadex for post cycle therapy (pct). below is what I am considering:

Weeks
1-12 Testoesterone Enanthate 500mg/week (split into two injections day 1 and day 4)
14-17. *Nolvadex 20mg a day

Is this a good beginner cycle? Should I continue the nutrisystem diet since it works for me and I don't have a ton of money? Should I just forget this all together and go a different route? There seems to be a wealth of knowledge in these forums and any help would be greatly appreciated. I apologize if this post is in the wrong forum but I am a newbie. Not trying to make excuses, just offering an explanation.

You're not ready for your first cycle yet, I know it's not what you want to hear but hear me out. You know you still need to lose a lot of fat.. so why not get that done with drop to at least 12% bodyfat and then do your first cycle. After all you're either bulking or cutting, cutting on your first ever cycle is silly and so is bulking at 20% bodyfat.

Please lose the fat first then cycle, you'll be glad you did if you do.

Thanks for the update. Would you recommend continuing my current diet, increasing the cardio and thermogenics to boost fat loss? The biggest part of the problem is no being able to lose the excess fat. Again thank you for your help.

It's your own body so what might work for me might work different for you, and you're a lot older than me so fat loss might be harder. Personally I never do any cardio because I lose weight fine without it as long as I'm in a kcal deficit, I always choose a 500 kcal deficit that way I maintain muscle. But if you feel like you need cardio, then do it.

I can't comment on your current diet because I don't know what it is, diets I recommend would be a keto diet or a Very Low carb diet, look them up. Both are great. Thermogenics are good to use aswel, either use Ephedrine and caffeine together or Clenbuterol.
