First Injection - Test Cyp question

Subq is supposed to be absorbed more slowly into the blood stream.

Thanks. Does this means you could space out the injections? Do you know why it would asorbe more slowly? My best guess is that a subq injection usually results in injecting in subq fat...and Test being a nonpolar molecule has a difficult time leaving nonpolar fat cells. I could be way off though.

I don't know the science behind the absorption rates.

You typically have to do subq injections more frequently due to the volume constraint. You can inject a lo more volume IM.

IM is the best route for delivery. No doubt about it!!
Only drawback is scar tissue.
The longer you are on TRT and pin IM the tougher the IM injection sites get due to scar tissue.

Thanks for the info. I've read scar tissue can be a real issue.

I just shifted to SubQ for two big reasons - I have many decades of TRT ahead of me and scarring is something I am concerned about...and I wanted to pin twice a week but could not bring myself to do it while injecting IM. With SubQ I have no problem doing half my weekly dose twice a week.

Do you guys think I am harming myself using SubQ instead of IM? Or rather, not really helping myself?

I have heard positives and negatives about injecting Test SubQ, if the doctor is suggesting SubQ which many are then I don't see the harm in seeing how you react to it. Blood test is the only real way to see how SubQ injections are affecting you so try it for a while and then do bloods and evaluate.

Best of Luck!

if you can do subq you just push the needle in a little further for IM. The painful was in going through your skin so that is behind you.

You can can get scar tissue doing subq as well.

I am going into belly fat right now. The doctor said to do IM, but then the CDC says Test-Cyp is only authorized for that. Right now I have plenty of fat around my belly - when I get tightened up there I may revisit IM.

As much as I hate to admit it, I am kind of addicted to my IM injections, I look forward to pinning, I must be mental!
