First Pin .... a Success???

Hey Guys Tell me what you think.....
Finally got the balls to do my first pin!!! Seems like it was a success. Got a few quick questions for everyone tho....

1. When drawing out liquid from the vials, I injected an equivalent volume of air into the vials.... I did't seem to help with extracting the liquid. Something I'm missing here?

2. When I injected (after much deliberation) I didn't jab the needle into the skin and muscle. I slowly placed the pin on skin, stretched it out, and slowly pressed it into my Quad. No pain wha so ever... you can almost feel it when it starts to enter the muscle... anything wrong with this? I also let some oil run down the pin... went in like a hot knife in butter!

3. Once I started to inject the liquid... I started to get light headed, and weak. Almost like I was gonna pass out. I aspirated (before injecting), with no blood. I injected extremely slow. I injected with a 23 gauge, 1.5 inch pin. I had to lay down as soon as I took the pin out. I'm thinking it was just anxiety, from actually diggin out my nuts and finally injecting (I was pretty worked up and tense).... maybe I'm wrong. Any Thoughts, besides "Hey, looks like you found your nuts".... LOL.

Besides those few questions... I have no pain, aside from the injection site being a little tender. Walking is fine. 5K run on the treadmill tonight was great. Tonight's workout went fantastic... no interruptions from the injection at all!

This is my first thread... I've contacted a few individuals on here recently for advice... I'm loving this forum. Lots of solid advice. Much appreciation in advance!

Oh, it was 1 ml of Test P (medistar).

Depending on the viscosity of the liquid, injecting air into the vial may or may not help at all. Just depends how thick the gear is.

It sounds like you nicked a vein during the injection. THere wouldn't be much/any blood, but it could still cause some dizziness.

There is nothing wrong with a slow injection as opposed to a fast poke.

Good job :)

I was only dizzy and weak for about 2-3 minutes.... came right back around again after that. Similar to feeling you get when you stand up too quick...LOL!

Same thing happend to me when I got a big cutt on my finger. It didn't hurt but I get real dizzy for about 3 to 5 min and then i was ok! I think it was anxiety and wouldn't worry about it.

Next pin you might want to try to through it in like a dart. Take a couple of practice swings and let it fly. That's what I do:)

you did just fine-any other way you hear to do it is personal opinion-and you can try diff stuff til you find out what works best for you.

it could be vein or anxiety-im going with anxiety on this one though

Anxiety caused you to get worked up your body is releasing adreanalin because you are nervous, I had the same reaction first time my quad was jumping around flicking the pin back and forth that may have been a nerve.

It's funny! I started debating the gear about 6 months ago. Started doing some research, and reading up on different profiles etc.... I read a few posts on the forum, telling us newbies to "Welcome to the Darkside".... and that they'll look forward to the next inject... LOL... I was scared shitless for the first pin, now I can't wait for the next pin.

Thanks again guys... and I'll say it again, this forum and it's members is excellent. If the information wasn't here for me to read, I may have very well screwed up my first injection, and probably gone with some ridiculous stack of gear...

Thanks Dakronic... I debated having someone present, just in case something went wrong... like pass out with my pants down and a needle stickin out my leg! It was hard enough to build myself up to go ahead with it... NOW... it seems easy, and the routine starts to become very procedural. I'm enjoying it so far, no complaints! Except that little sting the very next day...LOL.

I use to use 1.5 inch in the quad too but really 1" will cut the mustard.
1.5 in your ass everything else 1"
but whatever you prefer.

well done. congrats on first pin, it only gets better from here bro

1" pin?
I only bought the 1.5" as a rough standard (according to some info on the forum, 1.5 " 22 gauge), for most gear. I know I read about some guys using 18 gauge.... must be a bitch! But the 22 Gauage is painless (for me) when pushing it into the quad.

I find that you can feel the pin once it gets past the Sub-Cut Fat layer, and then a small pinch on the muscle. The pin is not very far in my quad at that point. I usually push 1.25" into my quad. I leave a small amount visible (~0.25") just in case the pin cracked off.

I've debated my delts for injects. At 1.5", I've got a feeling I'd be in too far. May just push the pin in about an inch for delt injects.

I hate saying that the injects are a cake walk "NOW" ... but I have to agree with everyone that pre-warned me.... It only gets easier after the first one!

I usually don't feel any pain on "Pin Day". It's the very next day, that I feel the pain in my quad. Muscle is fairly tender. I inject pretty slow for 1 ml (Test P.). Usually takes 90 seconds on average. I'm sure it's a combination of the muscle damage,. and the test p properties. It's not a crippling pain!

I remember reading that the TEST P. usually causes some irritation at the inject site too. 48 hours after the inject, the pain is subsided completely.

first of all-22 gauge are huge for quads-and an inch deep is far enough.

i use 25 gauge-i dont even like 23 gauge in my quad cause there is no fat there for me. it makes sense to go as small as possible-less chance of scarring.

See what I mean... this forum is awesome.... thanks guys, I'm gonna try it out in the 25 gauge.

25 gauge big enough for the delts too?

this forum is awesome not only because it's full of good info but because there are mature individuals on it who don't flame the shiit out of someone and then ask questions last. Unlike some other well known sites out there. It can literally make me sick.
