Simple rule: FEED THE MUSCLE, NOT THE FAT. Eat more protein (i.e., chicken breast, turkey breast, tuna, milk, egg, etc.). Eat greeny veggie for fiber.
Foods to avoid: Salt & sugars and lay low on fats and simple carbs.
Protein feeds the muscles and carbs feed your energy. But if you don't use up the carbs that you've consumed, it gets stored as fat. So limit your carbs.
