Frequency of changing routines?

How frequently should I change my weight lifting routine? Should I constantly change it up to keep my muscles guessing or should I keep at it until I hit a plateau?

its said best is every 6-8 weeks but i ususally do every 12 weeks. just follow how your body feels is the best way, if your killin it and making mad progress then stay at it, but when u hit a wall change it up
