IDK what is going on. I just can't lose the weight around my lower stomach. I run lean but no matter what I can't get it to go. I want to keep as much muscle as I can but drop the body fat..

Diet is this.
Breakfast 5 egg whites 2 slices of Canadian Bacon.

Mid morning protein shake and lit n fit yogurt.

Lunch is usually 1.5 cups of ground turkey breast cooked over lettuce about 20 peanuts.. Topped with 1 table spoon of extra virgin olive oil and 2 table spoons of balsamic vinegar

Mid afternoon protein Shake

Dinner either the same salad or Grilled chicken with broc.

IDK nothing seems to be cutting me down. I am not getting a lot of calories trying to get the fat to drip off. Anyone have any suggestions?

My Stats right now is 202 6'2 34 years old.

maybe the proteindrinks cause you to retain water. I have had that problem sometimes with lower quality powders.

you dont eat any carbs?? or is there sugar in your proteindrinks? in that case I would rather see you eat some rice with meals than sugar.

Any weightloss supplements?

I am pretty lean. I have my upper abs showing just can't no get rid of my lower belly fat. I am probably around 15% BF..

I try and limit my sugar intake. I also go low carb but I do eat carbs but try and eat healthy like Sweet potato or brown rice or cous cous...

I have fell off the wagon on the holidays but now I am full force back in the swing of things. I do not take any weight loss supps. the ones I have tried upset my stomach or dehydrate me.

I am open to suggestions.

There are basically two different types of fat, Subcutaneous fat and visceral or Stubborn fat. Sub q fat is usually the first to go, it burns off easy. When you get down to 15% or below is when you start encountering stubborn fat and it usually requires a slightly different appproach. Heres a quick blurb about stubborn fat.

"What is Stubborn Fat?
Stubborn fat is a slow-metabolized adipose (fat) tissue. To burn fat, a natural hormonal process has to take place. When a fat-burning process is activated, the adrenal hormones (adrenaline and noradrenaline) bind to special receptors in the fat tissues. There are two major groups of receptors in the fat tissues, alpha and beta. The beta-receptors are the more active ones, which respond to the adrenal hormones. Fat burning occurs when the adrenal hormones activate the beta-receptors in the fat cells. If these receptors are not activated, no fat will burn off.

Stubborn fat has a lower ratio of beta-receptors to alpha-receptors. As a result, it's metabolized slowly and does not respond to the adrenal hormones. To make matters worse, stubborn fat has more estrogen receptors in the tissues. Estrogen (the female hormone), once bound to the receptors, causes even more fat gain.

There's much more to it, but I don't want to make this too complicated and scientific. So for now, let's just say that stubborn fat presents three major problems:

It doesn't have a high enough ratio of beta-receptors to alpha-receptors, so doesn't respond to adrenal fat-burning stimulation.

It has more estrogen receptors, which accelerates fat gain.

On top of all this, stubborn fat doesn't have a healthy blood circulation. These slowly metabolized fat tissues have fewer blood vessels than a normal fat tissue, and consequently this fat is slower to metabolize, and therefore more stubborn or difficult to remove. "

It looks like youre controlling your insulin with your diet so i think if you added an alpha antagonist like Yohimbine hcl or even better Yohimburn, and an anti estrogen like AIFM, you should be able to push through this plateau.

Thanks so much Estray. That is awesome information. To complicate matters when i do abs I can do may 10 reps of any ab exercise then my abs lock up and cramp. Most painful thing I have ever felt. I can not exercise anymore let alone do anything other than try to unlock the stomach muscles. I can not figure out how to eliminate this.

Anafit Ezine Vol 3 Estrogen - AFboard

carmping means that you need to adjust your electrolytes (this is more an issue when you have above average estrogen levels). try increasing potassium and lowering sodium (unless sodium is too low, uncommon but in that case raising sodium can help)

most people also do not get enough magnesium, either because they dont consume enough or they consume too much calcium in relation to their magnesium intake-- also for some people uptake of either varies. Usually a good balanced cal-mag supplement with D3 can be quite helpful with cramping issues.

Thanks Macro.. I don't get a tone of sodium in my diet. IDK just not a salt person and watch what I eat so there isn't much sodium in what I make. That being said I started to eat Bananas again before I work out to see if that helps and what is the best way to get electrolytes into my diet? I don't do the sugar drinks so any other way to get them into my system?
