so does that mean that a full chicken contains about 980 grams of protein??

No way.

Chicken meat has 19% protein. If a full chicken is about 1,5 kgs. After removing skin and bones you may have 1 kg of chicken meat. 1 x 0.19= 190 gr of protein.

WTF, ive already done this.

1 kg of meat has about 245g protein.

There are 35 ounces in a kilo (rounded off)
Chicken has 7g p per ounce
35 x 7 = 245.

19% has nothing to do with 1 kilo.

After some new research, I've found that my 19% value (% protein in chicken breast) was not very accurate.
In the usda web site, I found it to be 23% (23 gr of protein in 100 gr of meat) So, 1 kg of chicken meat is about 230 gr protein. Very near to Suareezay value.
