Going into 3 months of TRT... Need some input

A little background... 48 years old, started with mid to low test levles (in 300's), high estrogen (in 60's)

Started on 200mg test cyp, HCG and antiE... did this for about a month... it was horrible.. same story you hear on here quite a bit.. the antiE doses were too high, my estrogen dropped to low and life was hell.

Stopped everything for two weeks.. added back 100 test cyp per week and 2 HCG shots at 200iu each... no anti E...

All the problems I had during the first month were gone.... with the exception that when I do a HCG shot (geneally at night) I will have a headache/tired eyes the entire next day. Not horrible, but just all day.

Did lab work after 6 weeks on this new protocol and numbers were good. Tests jumped to 811, estrogen was 32 and all other lipids, liver etc.. was all good.

However, my LH was 0.1

First I was surprised my test doubled on just 100mg a week.. plus quite frankly I don't feel one bit different with the high level I am at now.

So... have had some advice to add some clomid with the HCG for a month or so to help the LH levels... I assum it is that or increase the HCG but as I said, I am hating the day after the HCG shot as it is now.

So here are my questions...

Does the idea of adding clomid to the HCG for a short period make sense?

Any idea why I would have these headaches the day after the HCG shots?

So today going on 3-4 months on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) aside from having some days that are extrodinary from the libido standpoint.. I just really don't feel that different from when I first started.

Oh and I work out heavy weights (max-ot program) 5 days a week.... cardio 6 days a week and really good clean diet for about 3 months now...

Thanks for your time.

Clomid will raise your lh but when you stop it will go back down. Hcg mimics your lh it won't raise it. I've heard hcg will knock you on your ass but it doesn't affect me. My estrogen levels also got knocked down to low and I was worse off than I was before I started. To high of Aromatase inhibitor (AI) dose. We stopped anti-e to let it rebound and I started to get gyno so be careful. I am now taking tamoxifen instead of Clomid and adex .25mg eod will see what happens but I take 750mg/wk. It's a lot of trial and error.

Your LH will stay low because you are on TRT. Your body doesn't need to increase it since you are getting test from an outside source.

There really isn't a need for HCG except to keep your balls active but with HCG comes more estradiol. your testes produce more estradiol when on HCG(which is an FSH).

I was using HCG in my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for a year thinking it was what was needed but i stopped and frankly i feel better without it.

Your estrogens were slightly high at 60. Just outside of reference of 55ish if memory serves me. Mine was 130 on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and 80 off TRT. I've not found much info from people with their estradiol levels but consensus is that 25 is a good number to shoot for with E2. Your numbers are good now at 811 for test and 32 E2.

Man I have no idea... early on in my protocol I was on way too high a dose along with a very hig does of antiE... it fucked me up big time.

I dropped way down to the 200iu 2x a week and I still get the day after headaches.. though not as bad as before..

now here is a new twist... I started taking anavar last week.. and the HCG day after is now back to being really bad. So i know Anavar (var) will spike your blood pressure which it is now doing.. so I wonder if that along with what normally happens when I take HCG is combining to make it bad.

I like HCG and what it does for me.. and the Anavar (var) is really hardening my muscles up big time... but wonder if now I have to stop the Anavar (var) because of the bp spike.

just wish I could get on a normal sane level of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and feel the positive affects most everyone else doe.
