Good Diet for broke college student?

I've read in magazines that the only three supplements one (who is poor) must have is a good multivitamin, whey, and creatine. I have all these so now I'm asking what is a good plan for a student who lives at home and is at school most of the day. Also, I'm on cycle now and don't want face to bloat at all or as little as possible, any special way to make sure of this (avoid carbs?)? Thanks a million!

Bloat does not directly come from carbs, much more complicated then that.

If you are trying to be cheap buy in bulk. COSTCO

Eggs - I can get 7 1/2 dozen for like 6.50
Chicken Breast - Just picked up today 15 lb's for like $30.00 - LOOK FOR SALES!!!!
Tuna - Again look for sales and buy in bulk
Hamburger - Buy 80% and drain and wash the grease off.
Rice - Costco has 10 lb bags of this stuff for like $10.00
Oatmeal - I just bought 25 lb's of Steel cut oats from (bobs red mill) for $25.00 + SH
Potatos - Again I buy these every week and its like .99 / lb - A lb will give you 80g carbs.

Pasta - Again very cheap.

In fact i would stop buying the creatine and whey and spend it on the food. you'll get a lot more bang for your buck.

your living at home hence your parents can cook for you. tell them to make dishes with the stuff listed above. its when you have to eat shitty dorm food that you really suffer.

this kid is broke, he cant afford a costco membership

try GFS (gordon food service) no membership required.

last week i bought 120 eggs for 3.78
5 lbs of premade salad for 3.79
5 lbs of boneless/skinless frozen chicken breast for 9.79
8 lbs of cottage cheese for 6.26

those were with my business discount (5%) but its still the cheapest stuff in town

You do realize that Gordon Food Service has very little us retail stores??? Not everyone would have access.

He's from I believe Louisiana so I don't think he's going to have any luck there.

plus a costco memberships is only like $50.00 He could return his Whey protein and creatine and pay for it right there.

(1) Can you or can you not give your mom a grocery list and have her buy all the shit for you?

(2) Get a job you bum. Preferrebly in a venue that sells/has food in it.

(3) Why would you need creatine if you are ON?

(4) The only supp you need is whey (preferrebly weight gainer) for post workout and to replace meals.

(5) All the above advice is quite good. Apparently i can find A LOT better prices than I am paying.

(6) Is it tuff getting girls back to your parents crib? Do you have to sneak them up a tree like in the movies?

First off; all the previous suggestions were great!

i went to school about 2 hours away from home and lived there.

I got a membership to sams club and bought;

- 93%lean ground beef and made hamburgers on the foreman.
-chicken thighs\legs were cheap
-tuna in water 89cents per can
-raw oats, store brand
-sack of potatoes
-I would utitlize the cafeteria at school; take fruit and salads back to my room.
-Hard boiled eggs i would make
-peanut butter natty, store brand
-and watever else was on sale.

I would hit up the dollar menu at a few different spots every once in a while (bk, wendys etc)

Sometimes for breakfast iw ould hit up a pankcake house that would have specials. A few buck for a nice breakfast.
I would eat the food at the cafeteria for 2 meals daily....but gotta be smart...pick wisely. Some nights they would have steak and shrimp so i would eat there ..turkey sandwiches etc.

Basically all the money that all the drunks spend on booz you spend on food and you look 20times better.

Best of luck
