Got prescribed Test but no anti-estrogen or HCG

Doc ran all the labs and ordered me 200mg of test a week (should arrive Thursday) but I'm pretty sure that's all he prescribed. The doctors office sent it to the pharmacy so I never got to see the actual script and I didnt think to ask while I was there for some reason.

What should I ask for? Aromasin or letro? and HCG?

Also I am looking into running either Deca or Eq later on once i've been on the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for a little while. I'm wanting the joint benefits. Any opinion of which is better. I have read alot about both but still on the fence about it.

Thanks for any help

maybe you dont need it. before you start the T I would test the estro or you would never know where you sit and wont be able to make a good judgement. If your on 200 a week plus HCG chances are you might need an Aromatase inhibitor (AI), as far as brand or kind i dont know

200 a week is a good dose, actually plenty depending on your size, i hit a mid week number of 1400 on 200, considering splitting it to 2 shots to keep the spike lower. you probable wont need Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and if you do i wouldn't be telling the doc what your preference is. Also get stable, no extras for a year, make sure its working and no side effects after 12 or 16 weeks, blood test are important, stay at the dose he gives

They tested all of that, I am in the process of trying to get copies of the full work up.

I am planning on running just what he has prescribed for a good while before adding anything to it. But I just wanted to make sure my balls don't shrivel away ha

Bhrees- you said it would be a bad idea to tell him my preference but what about just bringing up the idea of HCG? it would just be a piece of mind thing to be on it.

you can ask what about something to keep the balls from shrinking, I know my doc said , why bother you're the only one who will notice and would not give me Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), other may if they are sympathetic to a "cosmetic" issue or you say i need to have babies soon, i went on and off to have my second son.

HCG will raise your test levels so you have to adjust the other stuff down, and its all subq in the belly three times a week for ever... how fun!

The test will kick in and in 3 weeks you're going to be better, and then in 6 months you will look good too
Be well, and take care of your health

good luck. I know some on here advocate for doing everything and the kitchen sink right away, which may have merit. But personally I think your better off working up to it and being methodical testing blood along the way. In my mind theres no reason to take something if you dont need it.

How do you feel about Deca or Eq? I have so pretty bad knee pain. I saw a sports doctor about them and said they were fine and that the pain is from the separation growth plates due to my height and a growth spurt.

I understand I would need to wait a long while to see how the test affects me, but i'd really like to eventually have the joint benefits.

My doc didn't prescribe an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) either. I felt great at first but not quite as good now. I did labs and it showed my E2 slightly out of range(high) the day before my weekly shot.

I think this happens a lot to people just starting out. It takes a little while for the E to build up and you feel awesome during this period. Then E catches up with you and you do not feel quite as good.

I am probably going to start to look for an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) on my own. Kinda hate to go this route but it may be in my best interest.

Good luck

You could try omega 3 fish oil or cant remember the exact name but its made from shark cartilage. I know these have had good results.

you may not need an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) at all - i know everyone has said this. My experience was as follows:

My doc prescribed an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) to be taken once a week starting with my first test pin (140 ml). After five weeks, my estrogen number went from 18 to 6 and he was concerned, so he took me off the Aromatase inhibitor (AI) all together. Apparantly, some estrogen is good for the bones? But yeah I get new blood work this friday so we'll see if my estrogen went back up since im now on 160ml a week with no Aromatase inhibitor (AI).

The only thing my doc said was to call if i feel any tenderness in the nipple area. I guess thats a first stage gyno symptom?

IMT staff -
I definitely need the joint support! I have heard of people getting prescribed Deca to help their joints. Is that true? I am younger with no past trauma or injuries to my knee and they hurt constantly. My sports doctor said he didn't find anything wrong with them in all the test he ran though

Glucosamine (and Chondroitin) what you're thinking of? It works in my experience after having several knee surgeries along with MSM. Orange Triad multivitamins are a FANTASTIC source of this as buying it separately is spendy.

OP: Definitely hold off on the Aromatase inhibitor (AI) at least for a month. My doctor refused to entertain any notion of HCG (cosmetic my ass, testicles make DHEA and Pregnenolone too!) as well as an Aromatase inhibitor (AI). After a month, my E2 climbed 15 points - which led me to search other avenues of obtaining my arimidex. You may not even need it!
