green drink

hey could I tap into the knowledge banks here? I'm 26 yo, 5'9" 220lbs powerlifter. I've never had any concern with dieting whatsoever but I just got the bug bigtime. I'm not super obese but I have real loose fat and it just looks horrible.

well A guy yesterday told me that he lost 65 lbs by using "the green drink", a blend of vitimens that is acceptable as a meal replacement. he says he completely eliminated whole foods and just took this stuff and protion shakes. this guys shredded now and says three months ago he looked like me.

so heres the thing. I can't stand being fat anymore. I don't mind sacrificing a little muscle to get rid of this fat. I'm taking 400 ml/wk of enanthate so I would expect it to help with muscle retention.

I've been going through the archives and I have seen some pretty wild ways to eat, I learned a LOT, but frankly I'm looking for a quick fix. I don't want to loose the weight slowly unless I'm going to take a BIG hit to my muscle mass.

hey, thanks guys.

BTW, I didn't post my current eating habits because untill now it was basicly eating lots of animals and lifting hard.

oh yeah....my plan was to take 5 protien shakes and three green drink shakes a day...with some kind of fatty acid, I havn't figured that out yet. I figure I'll take at least some whole protiens though, maybe eggs in the morning and chicken or something in the evening.

I agree - Whole Foods are best

Don't listen to every damn thing you hear at the gym. Its filled with idiots typically

Like i told someone else today:

A.) Clean up your diet
B.) slowly add in some cardio and increase slowly
C.) add in a thermogenic and increase slowly

Its not rocket science but to many people think it needs to be.

i know a guy who sells a product, tells everyone that its all he eats. He lies, his product is good, but he lies to get people to buy it.

if the guy you know is selling something, its probably full of hyperbole

oh yeah, I know...the things that go around the gym are a great. No, I'm fairly confident theres some thuth to what he's telling me.

I know this is about the worst shortcut to take...but like I say unless I'm gonna take a real big hit to muscle mass I'm ok with it. I've done a pretty good job of cleaning up my diet, but the fat's just not going anywhere. I am starting to reconsider being so impatient but I want to jump right into a strict cutting cycle.

I'm an HVAC service technician. It's almost impossible, with my job, to eat right. Could I maybe get some general advise on dieting....maybe just slightly recklessly?

here was my idea:

8:00- 4 eggs (I guess it should just be whites...what else?)

10:00- veggie drink, 1 protien shake (whey).

1:00- 1 protien shake

3:00- snack (maybe peanuts?) + veggie drink

preworkout- protien shake

postworkout- chicken or fish (how much? what else?)

evening snack- rice cakes

well thats obviously a pretty rough lookin schedule. I know it needs serious help. would you guys mind pointing out some major flaws? I'd really appreciate it!

there is no green drink? that should be a staple :insane2:

alot of these questions you can find answers to on ur own bro. just on the first page alone there is a wealth of info...but with that said: it depends on ur height, weight, bodyfat percentage:

without being too strict:

8:00- 1 or 2 eggs + 4 egg whites + oatmeal

10:00- 1 protien shake (whey) + efa (or peanuts/almonds/walnuts)

1:00- whole food meal: even try to get a sandwhich no whole grain bread with some chicken and a some veggies (onion.lettuce.tomatoe)

3:00- snack protein shake + efa

(5:00?) preworkout- Complex carb and Fruit Preworkout

(6:30ish?) postworkout- dextrose (powder gatorade) protein

8:00ish? you need some whole food after a workout, complex carb/lean protein (sweet potatoe + chicken, or if ur worried about carbs this late maybe just some chicken)

10:00 go for some green veggies if ur still hungry or a salad with light dressing (Drop some chicken in if its handy)

by all means this is not definitive and there are LOTS of holes in it, however it should get you started.
