Gyno Surgery/Surgeons

After seeing so many people on here that have gyno, I haven't seen much regarding plastic surgeon recommendations. Not sure if this is not allowed on the site or what?
I had surgery before and will need revision...how convenient. Anyone can recommend any surgeons first-hand, who have actually had surgery with them?
The top three I've found..Bermant (retired), Blau (looks awesome, but I've also heard horror stories, and that he photoshops his before/after), and Jacobs (pictures aren't too impressive, but he gets grave reviews).
I really don't care where he's located, I just want it done RIGHT.
Any suggestions here or PM me would be appreciated.

no disrespect but 90 % of thegyno cases reported on these boards is paranoia.

are you sure you have gyno , and i mean 100% sure ?

have you tried letro to reverse gyno ?

Yeah, I'm 100% sure. A couple of years ago, I tried the letro reversal protocol that floats around these boards. It didn't work for me. I went to an endo and he confirmed, then to a local plastic surgeon who removed the glands. Apparently he didn't completely remove them and also probably should have done a small amount of lipo for shaping. Now, I'll be getting revision surgery and just interested in anyone that's had the surgery with success and recommendations.

I was suggested to try vaser lipo. Cheaper, less recovery time. Tried it but it Didn't remove the gland. Now I look worse then when I started and am 3 grand in the hole.

Go the old fasion route.

There are good surgeons in everytown.

Just make sure you find a site that you can pay a little money($20) to get thier medical record to show of any lawsuits or fucked up procedures.

Knowing your doctor is most important.

Do you want someone who graduated from kenya?

This is a good topic. I've got a little bit of true gyno. Tried the letro therapy and it reduced it some but not enough for my liking. The thing is I don't want to trade small lumps for nasty scars. Ive heard Blau is the man but more expensive. I'm thinking about checking out Dr Chariker out of Louisville since he's close to me. Has anyone heard anything about him?

justhav2p trust me, after doing one surgery with a FACS FICS member doctor and still not getting the results I wanted AND paying over $3k, I'm doing extensive research. The thing about lawsuits is that it doesn't tell all. Some people are sue happy, which I'm sure you know. So, just looking at that doesn't really give me the info I need. So that's why I'd much rather hear first hand and see pictures from the patients themselves. It seems as though plastic surgeons will say anything to get your dollar...surprising?

TheChosenOne -- yeah I thought the same thing about Blau..in fact did a phone consult (which costs 150$ by the way) I sent many pictures in along with real good details on my situation and didn't get much of an answer. In fact, what he told me was "they left gland in there, I can promise you it will be flat, but when raising your arms you will have indentions" The 150$ consult with such little info seemed strange, so before going on a whim just by all his promotion online I looked into it more...here's one example what I found:

Originally found Dr Blau on a male breast forum. During the consult he seemed to try and make it short and sweet and keep assuring me he does these types of surgeries everyday.

Well i personally was pressured by this Mary Ann "his secretary" who kept telling over and over Dr Blau really is the best Dr. When I told her i was thinking about going to a different surgeon she keep assuring me Blau is the best and you won't be disappointed.

Well the day of surgery I was being rushed from getting ready to know one being able to answer any last min questions. Blau looked nervous that day, sweating and getting patients in and out as fast as he can.

To make a long story short the day after surgery both sides of my chest were so badly bruised you couldn't even see skin color.

When i went a week later to have the bandages removed i literally cried. One side of my chest looked like someone took an ice cream scooper and removed a chunk of my chest "an indentation" while the other side dented in due to his stupid method of wrapping the chest. The support plate shifted and dug in my chest. If he did it the right way by using a compression garment this could have been avoided.

I asked what have you done, he stated don't worry I assure you iv seen this many time it's just swelling and will go away in time, be patient. Also asked, well if i have a huge indentation how is that going to magically fill itself. He stated bodily fluild and natural healing will fill it out.

Fast forward 2 months post-op and the indentation is still there, the dent is now a huge lump of scar tissue. The post-op recovery room is a joke to say the least, i felt like i was in middle school clinic. I removed the heart monitor to see how long it would take for someone to come to my aid, well they never did till about 4-5min of listening to a loud flat line.

When I confronted Blau on how he was going to fix it, he suggested he take out more fat on the indentation. How can you take out more fat when there is nothing to take because you took out to much to begin with? I suggested aren't you supposed to fill it in with fat? He stated yea yea I can do it. Why is the patient telling the surgeon the proper way of fixing his MISTAKE?

Im going to cut this short. Over a year later and seeing other surgeons for pain in my chest it was confirmed i have permanent nerve damage which causes slight pain in discomfort which i have to live with for the rest of my life. The other side has a huge line going across which is a huge ball of scar tissue.

I later asked myself how this Dr even have a medical license. Well I later found out he was banned from the website I originally found him for him and or staff making many false testimonials. I do not know if this is true but after going through what i did i would not be surprised. Also I do not think a website owner would go through all that trouble unless he was 100% sure due to legal reasons.

Then I later searched through the NY lawsuit directory and was not surprised about what i found. I later used this directory for a Dr i was planning on using to fix this mess cause i had a weird feeling and bam another surprise. So now every time i go to a consult i look up the Dr's lawsuit history because after what i went through i can no longer trust anyone.

So not only did i pay a outrageous price, im stuck with permanent pain and discomfort and a chest that looks deformed. There is much more to this story but what i posted should be enough to explain the horrible experience i had.

Now that's not to say he's bad...this may just be one case and I'm sure doctor's have a few. But honestly, I'd like to hear from patients first hand that had good experiences and aren't getting paid from Blau to say it, which I would bet a lot of bodybuilders are because Blau is part of a lot of bodybuilding forums to promote himself.

I didn't do the surgery with Blau...that's just a review from someone else I found. Thought I'd show you that because there's a few reviews about him like that I found and now I'm skeptical to say the least. I had my surgery done by a local Houston surgeon..Dr. Paul Fortes. It wasn't a nightmare like that guy, but I still need revision surgery.

Wreck, did u have the gland removed, lipo or both? Also, if you don't mind me asking, could elaborate a little on why you need revision surgery? Is it a noticeable scar, is the symetry off, is it lumpy, or something else?

It was gland removal only, which I thought would give the results I wanted. I stay around a 11-13% body fat, so I didn't feel like I needed lipo. Regardless what I thought, I was going to do whatever the doc said I needed to get it to look right. Well the doctor told me gland removal only...so it was just an outpatient surgery. Looked great at first. But then after the compression vest came off and what-not, It looked better because the glands were taken out from under the nipple, but I still have that puffy look. The scars are not noticeable unless you really look, they healed very nice.
I'm not a doc, so I don't really know what needs to be done, but I know something can. When raising my arms, I can definitely feel the indention of where the gland used to be, there's small holes there now. And I'm currently running a cycle, which seemed to aggravate what I'm assuming is the rest of the glands the doctor neglected to remove. (they're on the sides of my nipple, and not directly under like before..guess it's like the tail end of it..no idea). But it almost seems like the skin needed to be tightened..and maybe lipo would do that.

I used Blau for abdominoplasty after I dropped a shit ton of weight the right way and had no problems. Staff was good, the office interior is dated, Blau is if nothing else very conservative with his approach and he provides free follow-up care. The negative review posted above is the first negative one I've heard of with him. Found him on a recommendation from a friend and know of 2-3 others with good experiences with him, firsthand.

But frankly? If you're in TX, you can find someone of equal caliber locally and save yourself the flight and hotel $$$.
