I was back in NY visiting last weekend and staying with my parents. I went out with some of my Queens friends I havn't seen in months. One kid Vik, his dad is a health expert and owns nutrition stores. When I went to his house, I walked in his kitchen, and there were thousands of bottles and tubs of supplements all over, the floor, the tables, etc.
After spending hours just discussing some of these wierd ass supplements I took notes on some of the more interesting ones. Check these out.
1. Goatein - Goat protein. Tastes like ass, but Vik told me it's good if you take it once a day. I don't exactly remember it's full purpose and what it's good for.
2. C.L.A. - Conjugated Linoleic Acid - He said it's an acid that burns fat and actually works, and is known to have no side effects. He also said that nobody in his family researched it or tried it so I should do some research on it. I'm not looking to use it cuz loosing weight isn't a problem for me but those of you looking for a way out, this might be it.
3. Immuno Cal - 100 Percent Whey protein - he said it really was 100 percent whey which is why it costed hundreds of dollars for small amounts. He said he tried it and never saw better results, but stopped because of it's insanely high price.
4. Amino Surge - I actually picked up a bottle from him because it looks very good, and I can't wait to try it out. They are pills which you take once a day and they are filled with many many essential amino acids. He said to cut down on the glutamine and take this every morning. I'll start taking them next week when I start working out again, and I'll let you guys know if I see any results (my guess is that it'll take a long time to notice any significant results).
Has anybody heard of any of these and can provide more info?
