Nice and slow. And if u break ir quad into 4 equal quadrants as u look at it you wanna hit the lower outside quadrant bout 6to inches or more above the knee and about an inch or two outside of center line. I pin quads all the time. There r a lot of nerves and veins but if u go slow u can alqays move slighty if u do hit one of them. Use a nice sharp pin. BD is my favorite. If u have big quads just pin a 25g 1"pin almost all the way and inject slowly. Sit with ur leg bent and relaxed but foot hanging...not on the floor. I put aa ciuple pillows under my hammy and stay relaxed. Its easier if u keep that muscle completely relaxed. As u pin slow if u notice ur tensing up the quad a lil bit. Kust take a deep breath relax it and continue.

Quads are always either hit or miss for me. There is times when I do not feel a thing and there is times that I can not walk for days....That's why I like sticking with the glutes.

So far I've had no issues. But I go mid thigh (halfway between hip and knee) on the lower outside, while sitting in a chair (if you are looking at your knee, its around "4:30" if it were a clock hand.. assuming your doing the right leg.) I shift my weight to left side hip to take weight off leg, then slowly push it in. Only pain I've gotten is the initial poke. Once its past the skin, I feel no pain. (That's what works for me, I'm no Doctor)

Never get near them. I hate pinning quds and I don't. I can pin glutes only eod and glutes and delts ed..fuck quad pinning

quads are the easiest to pin goes in like butter. you want to pin on the outer part about halfway down from hip. i slap the muscle a few times to make sure its not tense and its ready to go

I like to pin quads as well. Definitely the easiest for me to do and virtually pain free. I don't jab like a dart however. I go nice and slow to make sure I don't hit a nerve. If I start to feel a sharp pain or my quad starts to twitch ill pull out and switch needles and spots. I don't mind delts they were just a little akward to reach and do with a steady hand. I can't do glutes because I'm not limber enough to twist and pin like that.

thanks for the reply , so im not able to pin the tear drop?

Sure you can. If you don't mind the chances of hitting a blood vessel and nerve going up exponentially that is. You might get lucky and find a spot in the rectus femoris that actually lacks any nerves, but once you nick one of those little buggers - you'll never ever think about pinning there again.

Stick to the vastus lateralis one hand width down from your hip and one hand width up from your knee. I don't care how big your legs are, your muscles aren't harder than the steel you're sticking into them. :p
