Everyone knows the theory you wanna cut you go light weight lots of reps. You wanna gain mass you go heavy weight low reps.
Heres the question.. Lets say your an average guy 5"8-5"10 and 150-185 pounds.
Lets say your one rep max bench is a pitiful 100 pounds at a weight of 150-185 pounds.
Would you gain muscle mass doing 6-8 reps at 80-90 pounds at a weight which should require a waayy heavier bench press?
80-90 pounds is your limit to the max and your getting the burn/pump that a stronger 185 pounder would repping 200 6-8 times.... I just started working out with my cousin, I'm 180 pounds, he is like 220 or something like that. It's very hard to workout with him becuase he's just too damn weak. Im trying to do 225 6-8 and he can barley do 135 for 6... Im curious if he will gain muscle doing pussy weight like this? I mean even though he should be able to perform better he IS performing to the best of his ability and is giving it his all?
