Help with calves

I need your help on this,i've been training for over 3 years with grest results except for my calves,it seems wathever i do i can't get them to grow like the rest.

I know there is a part of genetics but my question is.

Is there something i can do or do you guys have any suggestion of workouts or exercices to maybe help them grow a little?

I had the same problem till a trainer friend of mine said legs will grow better with more sets,,i now have great calfs and do 15+ sets when i work them,,,,

also can try pausing(when flexed) a couple seconds on ea. rep
I've tried high reps, low reps, paused reps. Seems like if i keep switching it up my calves to better. thats just me though

seriously calves can be tough. i have been doing 3 to 4 sets of 45 reps lately changing the foot position every 15 reps to hit the calve differently. i try to do it 3 times a week or so.
 
i use the smith mach and do standing calf raises with heavy ass wt for 20 rest pause reps. i do 315 for 20 reps 1 set. but i am not in the same boat as you as my calves grow easyily. also most if my calf work is upward of 15 pers per set and rarely do i go over 4 sets for calves.

problem w\running, is some hardgainers like myself just cant use the extra cardio and gain weight.

As for calves, still havent found that formula, but I am up 1\2 an inch so whatver see how it goes
 
Pick and excercise like standing calf raises or calf raises on a leg press machine. Warm up with a couple of sets, then pick a weight you can do roughly 20-25 reps with. Perform 6 sets with this weight while only resting 20 seconds in between sets. Use a full range of motion and really squeeze at the top. On the last set you should only be able to do 6-8 reps. This has been working well for me. And if you want, you could do 1-2 more excercises of your choice for 3 sets. If you aren't genetically gifted with calves, you have to absolutely torture them.

thats sounds brutal. i am glad i can make my calves grow easily, as i would not have the gumption to do that.
 
basically you have to beat the shit outta your legs for them to grow decently. whether that be heavy weight, or high reps.
