Help with TRT

Hey everyone just reintroducing myself i use to visit this site a lot a couple of years a go and now im back. It seems a lot has changed since my last visit and i really like it.

I need some advice and guidance with TRT. By the way I'm 45 and I've been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for about 11 months.

I had an appointment with my Endo today and she told me the last blood my pcp did showed my test levels at 1100, i figured it was up there since i have been feeling good mentally and emotionally. My libido on the other hand has been up and down
(no pun intended..lol).

However this is what she said;
" Im going to retest you today and if your test levels come back this high, I'm going to have adjust your medicine (androgel) because that level is to high." And she added " i will be questioned if i don't adjust your medicine."

Can you frigging believe this shit!

I also asked her if there is anything else i can or should be taking and she said NO.

Need advice on what to do.

Why do you need advice? You already know who to call. Some people like Chip's brother walk around with 1600 test levels natural. Just because the reference ranges show the average unhealthy testosterone levels does not mean that 1100 is bad or too high. Your doc is a fear mongering tool like most and obviously only gets clients by accident. I need to make a sticky on this forum repeating myself-what has been said one billion times. Gel converts to estrogen more than anything else and stops working over time due to the rise in SHBG and high aromatase enzyme presence in the skin which facilitates the excessive estrogen conversion reversing all the positive benefits of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and eventually making you fat with no hard on...or worse diabetes or a heart attack from the estrogen stress. The ONLY method of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is shots and an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) with Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) while monitoring SHBG. Good luck finding a doctor that will give you that.

Im probably going to have to do this on my own and just keep going to my endo for blood work.

your endo will do blood work for you if your self medicating?

Mine sure as hell wouldn't. And I wouldn't even ask, lol.

I just spoke to her and apparantly the 1100 result was due to the fact that the blood was drawn from the same arm i applied the gel too.
The blood work done on Wednesday came back and my test is actually at 250.

Now she is putting me on 7.5 gm of androgel!

By the way I highly doubt that she would give me the tests if she finds out i was self medicating.

But im not going to tell her.

I want to but shes the head of the Endo dept. and since i don't have the best health insurance shes going to have to do. Well until i find someone i can afford.

A friend who works in one of the better hospitals around here is researching some Endo's for me. Lets hope he finds a good one.

To me its obvious that i need test cyp, an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and prob Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) but than again im not an M.D.

Update;
My doc finally put me on Test E 200mg/ml, however she wants me to inject once every other week, which of course im not going to do. I will shoot 100mg a week.

The reason she changed me to the injection, believe this or not, is because i started to get a rash from the Androgel. Incredible right.

Now my mission is to get her to prescribe me an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) when i need it, and HCG.

^^yeah tell me about, but this is the condition our health system is in. Hopefully it will change sooner rather than later.
