High estrogen

I got my blood tests back today from my gp, still waiting on my endo appt. He said my total estrogen was 142, my estradiol is 38, my total test was 1247. Im supposed to take 400 mg/2 weeks, I take 200 mg/week I get the injections sent home. My question Is, is that estrogen high enough to make me feel depressed, libido low, and tired all of the time those are my symptoms. My test started out total t at 157, my doctor said the estrogen was a little high all he can think to do is cut off Injections for two months and see how that does. I told him no so said said how about 400 mg once a month too help the estrogen lol. So he agreed to leave them alone until I get to see my endo in two months. Also putting on water weight and maybe gyno. Is the estrogen high enough to do all of that or am I crazy? Thanks In advance.

Levels

But are those estrogen levels really that high he told me it was only two points high and he didn't know if that would cause my symptoms.

I don't know too much about testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and all that I am just saying that yes high estro can cause those symptoms and an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) would take care of it

I don't know the facts but a lot of people on different forums have told me that the symptoms of high estrogen are simillar to that of low testosterone, so i suppose it could cause the symptoms you stated..

I myself have high estrogen (149) and testosterone of around 500 and im feeling what you stated.

It really depends on your sensitivity to the estradiol. Everyone is different. Some guys, 38, no problem. For me, I would start to have issues no doubt.

Anything above 25 and I notice it. My urologist and I just when through several rounds of adjusting my Adex to see if we could get a happy place for my E2. If you are like me, one the folks who is very estrogen-sensitive, it could cause you problems.

yea when i started my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) 4 years ago,i finally realized that once i got my test levels up where i was feeling better,my E2 was out the roof,it was like 126.5.....so im very, very sensitive to test conversion to estrogen,so i take aromasin at 6 mg ed now to keep it in check, hell after i got my test levels up to where i was starting to feel better,it didnt last long......my estrogen just messed me up big time

By "high" your doc is referring to your estrone (E1) level, not your estradiol (E2) which is fine.

How is your %BF? (higher than normal can cause elevated E1 levels in men).

Unless your really broke, don't bother stressing yourself out by lying to a doctor who doesnt know about HRT.. You need an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) added in there at the very least.. Fill out the questionarre on the Maximus website and get started w/ the right treatment.. I mean, go see an endo if you want, but I never had any luck w/ them.. Signing on w/ Chip is the best move I ever made.. Your health is everything!

His E2 is a little higher than what most guys would feel good at from experience and what I've been reading for a while now.. I would say most guys will not feel optimal w/ E2 over 30.

Problem is, with a test of 1247 the E2 level is quite good, and of course, this is all relative to time of day/time after last dose, etc and might generate an entirely different set of numbers after the next lab. Rather than chasing the E2 with an Aromatase inhibitor (AI), just dropping the test a tiny bit would probably give the desired level.

I know this is an old thread, but OP, was the estrogen the cause of your depression and other problems?was it fixed once u took an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) to lower the estrogen? Thanks

My E2 was 149 (high) so what I've been told is Aromasin 12.5 e3d should help. I'll get labs again in 4 months. Any input??
