Home Brew Screwed ?

I just added the NaOH and water to my brew and it turned yellowish. Can someone tell me what this means please. It still seemed to produce white crystal but the liquid turned color. Is it screwed? I followed the directions very closely but I don't know this is my first batch.

AH Forget it. My fuckin filter let go and it all went down the drain. I guess I'll start another batch and see what happens.
