First- let me wish all a very Merry Christmas, I hope your holidays are safe and you spend them with someone you love.
Now, where should I start. Im 37, Ive been lifting off and on since I was 15. Ive tried almost every substance available and including diets and OTC supplements over the years. I recently began having chest pains, little quick "hiccups" that hurt then go away. After a few days of this I had one that began radiating toward my shoulder and up my neck to my jaw. Signs of a heart attack - so I go to the emergency room. Im admitted to the hospital after they performed some initial tests. No heart attack, but definitely a heart problem. Blood pressure is low, respiration is low...I have the vital signs of an athelete, like those of a runner, so why at such a young age am I having heart problems. Well, after getting a bill for $19,000 US dollars, several days in the hospital, many specialists and invasive tests, they determined that some heart muscle has grown over my coronary artery and when I become stressed or that bit of muscle tightens up it is restricting bloodflow. They shoved a catheter in my femoral artery in my leg and then went all the way to my heart, no blockage at all.....the only problem was heart muscle growing over the coronary artery. Solution? Surgery later...probably after my first heart attack or stroke...for now, its blood thinners for the rest of my life, carry around a bottle of nitro in my pocket for "on the spot" treatment. The Doctor said he believes that this is something that could be steroid related....not that IT WAS, just that he thought it could be.....it is entirely possible I was genetically predisposed to having my heart grow muscle over this artery anyway...but it does seem strange....so many of those that do experience serious problems with gear seem to have their hearts give out. I could say and in the past would have said "fuck 'im" and continued on my path, but not this time....I have children and a loving wife and need to be around to fulfill my obligations to them...so I am done with gear.....problem is , I have a little left over from the cycle I was on....as well as ancillaries such as clomid, arimidex, and diuretics....I bet I get at least five private emails saying that if I will throw them they will catch them. A charitable man I am not. I will continue lifting and will now just have to try to do it all through natural supplements and good clean diet....I will let you know how that goes....Be safe my brothers, some of you have been a great source of information and trust...thanks.
