how important is it to have your post protein shake immediately after your workout??? say u have a meal right after and then the protein shake a lil while after that? is that ok
 
You really want the shake immediately after because it will absorb quickly.

Most people choose to have the post workout meal 60 to 90 minutes later.
 
I brink a semi-frozen shake-in a shaker bottle with me to my workout, as soon as I am finished working out, I chug it down. Then when I get home I have a decent sized meal. If you are bulking this is the ideal schedule.
