How is this possible?

I am on a cutting diet for 3 weeks now. With most of the exercises I stay on the same weight but with a couple of exercises I can lift more weight each time when I workout. How is this possible with the low amount of carbs I eat? Is it possible to gain muscle on a cutting diet?

Some excersises can get easier as you loose weight. ie pullups. less weight to pull to the bar. same with dips. when calorie restricted, I dont think its actually a gain in lean muscle that one feels, but the muscle that is alread there becomes more efficient. with less fat on your body there is less weight to move, and sometimes your body mechanics and posture can improve, leading to greater leverage and mobility. this is just my $0.02
In my own fat loss experiences, once I reach a stable BF% and level out for a while after dieting, the lean muscle starts building up again. personally ive never gained lean tissue on low carbs or calorie restricted diets. If youre gaining on a cutting diet, thumbs up to you. share the secrets with us.

its possible you timed your carbs wrong on your old diet and actually had low blood sugar while working out . many people slam simple carbs preworkout for " energy " but what goes up must come down and when your blood sugar crashes so will strength and endurance .

It is not with pullups or dips, but for my chest it's with incline dumbel press for example.

I don't think I timed my carbs wrong because I have the same meal for breakfast on my old diet as I have now. I always train after breakfast.

I don't really understand what u mean by this

high gi carbs [ ie sugars ] will send your blood sugar high quickly but if you dont continue to ingest them your blood sugar will crash makeing you feel lethargic . think of how sleepy you get after a big holiday meal lol .

Well, I guess you learned yourself that it is possible, right?

The body has an amazing ability to adapt.

Don't worry about the details, just focus on what works.

3 weeks isnt going to make a shit of a difference unless youre on drugs.
