How long and how Hard is too much Training?

Opposite of a Sociopath
So I have been back lifting for the past 6 months, My routine has been very heavy and very intense I feel that I have plateud this routine and my body is ready for some down time, I dont want to stop training but all I know is Heavy and high intensity.

What is the longest amount of time one should be blasting like this for I am sure 6 months has been too long for me because my body is telling me so.

would it be wise to blast 3 months then actively rest 3 months through out the year?

How do BB's train to maximize gains and not kill their selfs in the process?

Change your routine!
Change your split.
Change your exercises up.
Change the amount of reps.
Go heavier.
Change your diet...eat more.

Your muscles are getting use to the workouts you are doing so you gotta change things up.

Blast? As in cycling for 6 months...if so you may want to cruise or come off for awhile...

If you are training one muscle group per day, I think 1 hour is plenty 15-20 sets total. I wouldn't take it easy for 3 months train hard year round but maybe take a few days off when you need it, that's what I do. I don't think anyone will ever agree on this subject, some guys will train an hour others will insist on 3 hours. Something interesting I found, go on YouTube and search, mike mentzers HIT high intensity training.

I generally blast for 4-6 weeks and then cruise for 1 when off... When I'm on, I blast for 6-8 week and then cruise for about a week...

It's tough to scale the training down but in the long run, it actually ends up being much more beneficial.

I think he is referring to (TRT) "Cruising" then "Blasting" (cycling).... If he has been blasting for 6 months its probably about time to come back down to a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) cruising dosage of Test...

I usually go about 6 weeks blasting and then curise for a week - 10 days.

ythrashin the question was how often you deload/take a break from lifting.

Sorry fellas, This thread was soley based on Training not gear, I just used words that have other meanings my fault.

I did a 20 week cycle of gear but will be off gear for 3-4 months.

My training has been very HIT for the last 6 months. This week I have just gotmore rest and ate well, my muscles look fuller and bigger!

next week I am going back into my training with active rest style training, cardio and abs, with small muscle groups.

Then I will change up the routine every 4-6 weeks to stay fresh

I enjoy lifting like a PL but my body is forming into nice proportions. I want to look like a BB.

Was just curious if others have gone hard core for long amounts of time too?

6 months was too much! I feel sick and tired but with rest i am feeling stronger.

P.S. I hope to see some new results on this upcoming 6 month 4iu ED GH cycle, i will post up results.

When I said "blasting" and "cruising" I meant with training... When I say "blasting", I mean balls to the wall, taking sets to failure, using drop sets, super sets, etc... "Cruising" is not taking anything to failure, getting a pump and getting out of the gym... It's a lot less intense.

I dig it bro, I think this will be my mind set from now on in my training obviously i will use certain established prinicples and routines but how I blast and cruise will be very consistent.

Of course switchin up often for muscle confusion.
