I bulk for the entire fall and winter. From September to May, for seven months or so. I feel if I take it slower I put on much more permanent size with less bodyfat. Last year I put on about 50lbs and I managed to keep about 35lbs of it during my cutting period which is roughly May to September. This year I plan on starting to bulk up in September and continuing Until May while staying below 13% bodyfat. I can put on much more weight with a bigger percentage of that new weight being muscle, when I have a bulk for a fairly long period of time.
A long term bulk allows for more muscle and less fat, when you take it a bit slower you do not have the yo-yo diet going on. 7months of bulking has really worked for me, that's why I plan on bulking for at least 7 to 8 months this year.
Well, if youre searching to gain more muscle you bulk, i bulk all the time but not taking in fucked up amounts of kcal etc... It wont build more muscle but more fat, and then when youre forced to diet, youll loose abit muscle coming in smaller then the guy not doing a fucked up bulk.
