I went to 3 doctors today telling them I needed blood work for steroids. btw I live in canada so blood work has to be prescribed. Anyways 2 said no and the third after a 2 hour lecture finally gave me them not checking off lipid values or E2 essay. Also said that she doesnt wanna deal with this again so I doubt I can go to her for my second one. Im really pissed and going all the way to the states for blood tests is pretty damn expensive. Are a lot of u not doing bloods?

What should I say then? In order to get all the things I need checked. And I never said I have used because I havent..I said I am going to

Telling them you think you may have Low T or perhaps you are having fertility problems might work and get you the labs you want.

The only way your gonna get them done in Canada is to find a doctor who is willing to write the requesition, and the only way to get the test that are needed or wanted is to tell them you are using. Sucks balls but welcome to Canada.. This is why 95% of people who cycle dont have bloods done, because they can't

sigh....sucks pretty bad so Im just gonna go on them without blood tests because is clearly way too much of a hassle. When do you guys recommend to donate blood?

I find it ironic that the country that allows personal use, makes it difficult to do so responsibly. I probably would have tried the low T angle first, but I bet that is a pain too.

Every 56 days is as often as they will let you (at least here in the US).

I'm going to assume just from my short experience talking to people in the gym. That most of them don't get it.
It's always the same thing they say.
Oh my test is 500-600 off cycle,
Oh I get a check up once a year off cycle and my doctor says I'm good.
Ory favorite is yeah I'm gonna go soon and I hear that over and over.

yet I know they haven't had bloods in the two years I've been chatting with them and seen them do multiple cycles.
Doing grams of gear a week and never coming off.

What I do is make sure when I get bloods and something's wrong I make a big deal about it to my small click of juicers and by doing that over the past year I've gotten over half of them to get blood work.
So I feel as if I'm being a positive influence on them.

Moral of the story get bloods. Lol

i recently got my bloods done, she gave me exactly what i was looking for, except she said i cant go to her for the 2nd and 3rd one because she has no experience, and know very little about managing level....she said she could prescribe be to a sports physician and the first blood is the only thing she can give me....it sucks i guess ill just use my first one and get it tested every year once...

Wow you guys have no private labs in Canada ? Well there are alot here in the US and still people don't get blood work. I won't listen to anyone telling me how good the gear they use unless they have bloods to prove it.

Im in Canada...

2 Options..

1. Find a natropath that will do a hormonal panel, expensive.
2. Go to walk-in tell them you did steroids and are worried you messed yourself up, time-consuming.

I don't know what personal use you are referring to, but Steroids are a controlled substance and you wouldn't want to get caught with them without the proper prescription (with prescription you're good to go). If I am wrong feel free to show a link with proof, but saying it is legal for personal use is not proof, I doubt any proof can be shown, or I wouldn't have such a paranoid pharmacist when it comes to my prescription of it.

As far as this threads topic is concerned. You are going to see the wrong Dr. and use the wrong approach as well, if you mentioned using steroids (using or "want" to use down the road doesn't matter) they can't condone illegal drug usage, and when I had my gyno removed via surgery years ago I was yelled at by the Dr that did the surgery for asking if it is possible for this to come back if I was to use again, he wanted to make it perfectly clear he is supposed to report illegal stuff (I forget exactly the wording he used) but he was pissed. He was an ass anyways, but he did great work on the surgery!
My current family Dr knows I have used in the past. That's all he knows. I can get blood work done from him any time I visit simply by asking for them, AND he will do any tests I can think of...be careful what you wish for, not everything is covered like PSA tests ($30-$40) I think is one of them.
Halfwit is right with the approach, you should lead with low libido thinking you have low test, discuss other possible options, which might lead to estrogen etc.
You just need the right Dr. if you are in Ontario, and you don't mind a little travel, I can give you my Dr's name it's about 45 minutes outside of Toronto.
He IS very easy going and deals with TRT is familiar with Andriol Topical test, has prescribed me Cypionate 100mg/ml and Enthanate(sp) 200mg/ml. But I am about a 5 on the 1-35 scale of testosterone, so it's legit use. which is pretty low (acceptable is between 9-30 or something).

Travelling to my town = much easier than travelling to the USA assuming you are not on the border.

We use to have a few of them but since our healthcare is "free" and government ran they did not take kindly to private companies in Canada and forced them all out. Its now all about finding a doc that will help you with bloods without the hassle and they are few.

There are ways to get private work done. But you pay for what I know of. My father pays for private insurance and one of the things he mentioned is that he can get blood done and get results same day and next day. Pretty expensive service though. It's geared for people that have money.
Another thing that he can have is access to a kidney specialist within 3 days. This affects him specifically, but using plain Dr referral for a specialist takes a long time for the regular person using OHIP.

Yeah, never mention to doctors you are on steroids. Everything is noted in your medical record. I would always play the low T feelings first. Basically, go in to the doc and mention you can't get a hard on, you are emotional, are gaining visceral fat easily, feel depressed, fatigued, lacking muscle, etc. Tell the doc that you read through all the symptoms online and it looks as if you have low T and want a hormone panel done. They generally will do it. Never mention steroid use to doctors.

Taken from the RCMP site - steroids are legal for personal use in Canada its a well documented fact

Drugs & Sport - Royal Canadian Mounted Police

STEROIDS

Intended Use
Increase weight, muscle mass, physical endurance and aggressiveness.

Legal Aspect
Most steroids are obtained on the black market. Simple possession of steroids is legal, but importing, trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking are illegal.

Ethics in Sports
Substance is illegal in sport. In and out of competition, using it is cheating, as it gives artificial advantage over other athletes, which contravenes the ethics of sport

Health Consequences
Overload on liver and kidneys; cardio vascular disorders; severe acne; stunned growth; breakdown of tendons; loss of libido; sterility; testicular atrophy; hair loss; psychological and psychiatric problems.

Consequences On Social Environment and Others
May affect safety of others, leads to antisocial behaviors and a high level of aggressiveness among users. These may lead them to act dangerously toward others, e.g. road rage.

I always say prove me wrong I am fine with that. You learn as you go. While it doesn't make any sense to me considering the class of drug it is, and how touchy my pharmacist is with it, its right there in B&W.
