How much extra weight (lb's) do you add from your base weight when u guys do a bulk and try to add muscle ? Also how long do you try and keep that weight on until you decide to cut down ? what will keep you keep your cycling ? im usually up abut 15-20 on bulk and if i can will train at that for months . Hoping to keep 5-10 solid lb's .

so are you asking how much weight you will gain in a cycle and keep??

thats going to be highly predicated on your diet..

with my clients, they usually gain anywhere around 25-35lbs on cycle, and lose 5-7lbs post cycle..

if youre gaining 20lbs on cycle and only keeping 5-10.. youre doing something wrong

I would say keeping gains has alot to with with how far you go past your natural potential also. And if you are on trt or doing pct.

What i meant was how much extra weight do you guys try to add when u bulk . I personally during bulking time try up my weight about 20lb , work with the extra weight for strength and try to add as much possible mucle before i cut

Depends where you are at. First or second cycle, your weight can increase 15-20 lbs. After nearly 20 years, 10 lbs after the water comes off puts a smile on my face.

I agree with this. I'm happy to see 10lbs of lean mass after a bulk; which is a huge amount of muscle, considering the amount of effort required to earn it.

Too many guys add 40lbs to the scale, and don't realize how much of that is glycogen/water/fat. Then they get all butt-hurt once the scale drops 25-35lbs months later.

Im about the same. 10-15lbs. And thats not an easy 10-15lbs to gain either.

If gaining 40-50lbs in a cycle is happening you can be damn sure that isnt muscle and will go away quick once the cycle is discotinued.
