how much in 100......?

pharon

...always bulking
i wanna know how much proteins i get each meal !
so can u tell me how much proteins i get from eating
100 grams of tuna or fish ? and from 100 grams of meat ?

last thing i remember is that red meat contains abt 70% proteins,
im 180 lbs so im tryin to take 400 grams of quality proteins each day & i dont use shakes..so if its true; for my protein intake ,can i relay on eating :
500 grams of meat + 6 egg whites & maybe a can of tuna everyday
divided on 4 meals?? not 7 or 8!!..4 meals are my limit :o
(500 grams meat = 360 grams protein + 30 grams from egg whites gives me 400 grams of quality proteins per day...i think !!

so..wat do u think guys??

plug your data into www.fitday.com and find out.

ie:

500g of sirloin = 17.64 oz of meat (if you eat 4 oz portions that's eating 4.5 servings of sirloin a day... expensive if you ask me).

that's 1000 cals and 152g of protein.

why are you trying to eat 400g of protein a day? i'm doubtful your body could digest all of that. to gain, you want 1.5-2g per lb of bodyweight ie: 270-360g daily. i doubt there is any benefit in going over 2g per lb but maybe someone else can comment on that.

1 13oz can of tuna packed in oil is 636 cals and 94g of protein.

6 egg whites is 21g of protein and 99 cals.

anyway, in reality, you're consuming more like 345g of protein daily, which is ideal.

i hope you're eating lots of carbs and a reasonable amount of EFA's to go along with this.

what kind of ratio are you eating? 40-30-30?? btw, 4 meals are too few. you'll end up going too long between meals.

sign up for fitday!! yeesh!

man i know its expesive but wat can i do! & maybe you are right that my body wont digest 400 grams of protein but if i knew for sure that the 500 grams of Red meat + 6 egg whites would give me abt 360 grams of protein a day, then i dont care but u are tellin me that 500 grams of meat gives me 152 grams only! that means that i need abt 1 kilo to get 300 grams of protein and i still need to get another 60 grams ...now thats expensive:(

i wonder how u guys calculate ur proteins?!

i eat alot of carbs but i don use ratios i just care most for my protein intake then comes carbs... btw, wats EFA's ?? :o

hon, i don't live in the US either.

if you go sign up at fitday you can plug the amounts of foods you are eating into the program. it tells you the ratios you are eating and everything. it does include some brands, and you can enter new foods if you can take the numbers off the labels of foods you already eat if they're not in fitday.

all of the values i gave you i looked up through fitday. i'd be lost without that program!

i don't work in imperial units and this program does, so i go to google and convert them myself.

it's really not that difficult.

efa's are essential fatty acids - omega 6 and omega 3 - buy some udo's. it should be in the fridge at your local health food store.

http://www.essentialfats.com/efats1.htm

you need to be eating a lot of carbs to be able to gain - carbs are what give you the energy to lift!

oh yea..i do use flaxseed oil & i eat fish all the time, you r from UAE...AHLAN AHLAN :D

i'll go check fitday again....mayb i was toooo lazy after all but after all, idecided to just shut up & eat! no more calculating or percentages!
thanxx for ur help
