How much protein ??

How many grams of protein do you take per pound of bodyweight?

For the mathematically challenged :D , simply divide how many grams of protein you consume per day by your weight.

eg; I consume 300 grams, and I weigh 200 lbs, therefore 300/200=1.5 grams per lb. bodyweight
 
When i bulked in the fall i was hitting around 2.5g/lb, now its more around 1.25-1.5g/lb and I am starving...arhhhhhhhhh
 
i wish i had the willpower and could avoid all the awesome food in New Orleans, but i would say i probably get 0.9-1.1g per lb, per day
 
i tink 200grams is enough to keep a nitrogenous 'enviroemnt' in my muscles anyway. ive gone up to 400 before, lol, that was a fun day, went through about 2 rolls of toilet paper

I try to get 2g per pound but somtimes find it hard to get that much. I shoot for 400g+ per day at 240lbs.

Very good point...Guys read this!! I have been preaching this for as long as I can remember!

Once you have gone past your genetic potential, you must increase your protien and carb intake to maintian the new muscle growth.

Its like this...when you start out, you are a 4 cylinder engine, which needs 87 oct...as the cycle progress, the engine gets bigger, which means a higher octane gas!

Fead the engine and it will run like a dream!
