declines are fun to do when you're stuck on your flat bench or incline bench. it's a variety. never hurt to do it but could be uncomfortable for others
i haver done them, it gets dangerous imo when i start to get into the mid 300's and i have to bring the weight out, i had one scary experience and that was the last time i touiched it. I never felt like it did all that much, but i used it for variety.
I use it all the time. Helps me take my front delts out of the equation. I tend to overuse them on flat and incline. I usually start with them for my heavy mass building exercise. Then use a rest/pause routine on an upper chest exercise (seen great results with that). And then follow up with an isolation movement like the pec deck or flyes. Been doing this same basic workout for a long time now. It works for me.
