Right now I'm on 200mg test cyp and sometimes .25mg arimidex per week. This generally leaves me level at around 700-800 test and 30 E2.
I feel okay but not as great as I have when I have included HCG in the mix. I have taken HCG on and off since 2008 in various forms (HCG mono & incorporated into TRT) and eventually settled on my sweet spot of 500iu HCG per week, .25mg arimidex per week, and 200mg test cyp per week.
However, last year I started retaining a LOT of water in my face and chest/stomach from HCG. My face looked so fat, it looked like I had little boobs, and my stomach was uncomfortably bloated. I tried lowering my dose to 250iu, 125iu, and 50iu, and still had the same water retention problem. I did not receive any postivie benefits from those doses.
How could this have just randomly started? I have taken 2500iu 3x per week in the past (on HCG mono as prescribed) and never had a problem like this at all. I usually had the opposite problem; HCG would leave me looking lean and trim.
I also take more than .25mg arimidex because of nasty cognitive side effects that occur at any higher dose.
I will also note that shortly before this problem began, I got off of a medication caused gabapentin which was causing me all types of problem. I was only on it for two months but it was causing very intense physical and psychological problems. Ever since I have gotten off of it, I have not been myself. It f*cked up my central nervous system somehow and have gone to a ton of doctors to determine what has happened, but all tests (MRI, CT scan, etc) show nothing wrong and I respond negatively to any medication to try to treat my current problems that gabapentin has created (nerve pain, heart palpitations, severe anxiety, etc).
I throw that in there to see if anyone has any heard of any connection between an disrupted CNS and an inability to tolerate TRT medications. I don't know if there is any relation, but the main thing I am looking for is to go back on HCG without getting the severe water retention.
